Chapter 14: Abnormalities in Coey’s Heart

Lydia's home is not too far from Coey's home, and it only takes 5 minutes to get there. She plans to visit Coey at his home.

The door-bell buzzed. Coey opened the door and saw that it was Lydia. "Lydia, why are you here? Come in."

Coey took Lydia to his room. "My uncle and aunt are not at home today, and I am the only one left at home. Fortunately, you are here to accompany me."

Lydia held up the cake bag and said. "Look, what is this?" Coey was shocked when he saw the Tiffany Cake Shop bag.

"Lydia, why did you buy such an expensive cake to eat?" Lydia shook her head and said to Coey mysteriously, "Let me tell you a secret. Steven talked to me the day before yesterday. He asked me to meet him in the cafe today."

"Could it be you and Steven?!" Lydia hurriedly interrupted Coey's wild thoughts. "It's not what you think. It's that Kalle asked him to ask me out just to ask me about your preferences. This cake was also bought by Kalle, and he asked me to bring it to you when I go home."

"Oh... How did he know about this kind of cake shop that girls like?" Coey pouted and drew circles on his palms at a loss.

"Then Perry must have told him." Coey read out Perry's name in confusion? "Perry? Who is he?"

Lydia realized that Coey didn't know who Perry was until he entered school. "It's the boy with a blond crew cut who often follows Kalle and Steven."

Coey recalled that there was indeed this person in his memory. "Is he from another classroom? His name is Perry."

Lydia gossiped Coey, "You don't know yet, do you? Perry has dated countless girlfriends. Kalle must have known that cake shop because Perry and his girlfriend went there before telling Kalle."

Coey nodded and looked at the cake box that Lydia was opening, revealing the cake inside.

"It's the top 1 and top 2 sales of that shop. They are strawberry cake and ten slices of cake with different flavors. Which one do you want to eat first, Coey?" Coey chose the strawberry cake.

The strawberries were sweet and big, and Coey felt strange while eating them.

"Coey, let me ask you a question. Do you have any different feelings for Kalle?" Lydia carefully observed Coey's expression.

Coey pursed his lips tightly. "I... I don't know how to say it. I feel something strange in my heart?"

Lydia continued, "Kalle asked me to bring you this cake. He also said that he knew that if he brought it to you personally, you would not accept it."

"Did I go too far in being indifferent to him before?" Lydia comforted Coey, "Dear, why do you think so? It's not your fault. I know that it is Kalle's blatant pursuit of you that makes you feel uncomfortable. I think you are not wrong to treat him in that way."

Coey pursed his lips tightly and did not speak. Seeing Coey's appearance, Lydia hurriedly changed the topic and talked about other things.

It was already evening, and Lydia said goodbye to Coey and went home.

At night, Coey lay in bed tossing and turning and couldn't sleep. She tried to heat a cup of milk to drink but still couldn't sleep.

She opened the chat software on her mobile phone, found the class group and found Kalle's mobile number from the list.

She saved Kalle's mobile number, typed what she wanted to say on the chat page but deleted it.

She was hesitating whether to text Kalle or not. Finally, she plucked up the courage and typed a line of text to send to Kalle.
