"Michel, what are you saying?" Sienna Tang's tone turned cold.
"Dear Sienna, what I'm saying is..." Michel sighed regretfully, "Your stubbornness is just like Felix Keir's..." As soon as he finished speaking, several figures rushed into the room.
...
The social club was filled with handsome men and beautiful women, all impeccably dressed and well-spoken. When Leon Chen and Lily Lin arrived, the top couple of H University attracted curious glances, though no one commented openly. Occasionally, someone would approach them for a conversation, giving Leon a feeling as if he had stepped into another world.
Scanning the social club's banquet hall, Leon was impressed. The several-hundred-square-meter hall featured two buffet stations, a central dance floor with an artificial fountain, and exquisite lighting, sound systems, and decor. There was even a court orchestra. H University's facilities were top-notch globally, and the club's venue alone surpassed many formal ballrooms.
In such a prestigious place, it was no surprise to see someone like William Jiang, mingling among the guests. Dressed in a fine suit and holding a glass of red wine, he exuded an air of pretentiousness, making his student status seem out of place.
"I didn't expect you to actually attend," William said, his tone condescending since their last confrontation.
His cronies, all similarly dressed but of lower status, echoed his mocking laughter.
Leon gave him a disdainful look, feeling that talking to him would be a waste of breath. His natural disdain was far more cutting than any mockery.
William was displeased. "The last question you gave me had no answer. So this is the extent of your abilities—tricking people?"
Leon suddenly remembered something amusing. He turned to William with a harmless smile. "How about we make a bet?"
"What kind of bet?" William asked warily.
"I'll give you a question. You have three days to find the answer, asking anyone you like. If you can't find it, the terms are simple," Leon's smile turned cold, "Every time you see me, you'll call me 'Big Brother Leon' and get as far away from me as possible!"
William and his friends stared at Leon in surprise. He was audacious.
Three days to ask anyone? Did Leon think he could come up with a question that no one in the world could answer?
How foolish.
Some girls who had thought highly of Leon now looked at him with disdain, thinking he was just an arrogant blowhard.
It seemed like an easy win, so William felt confident. He didn't believe Leon could pose a question with no answer. Still, something about Leon made him uneasy.
Their conversation had drawn a lot of attention. William knew that if he refused, he would become a laughingstock. "Are you serious? I can ask anyone?"
"Yes, three days."
"Is this another question with no answer?" William sneered.
"Do you dare accept?" Leon taunted.
William gritted his teeth. He didn't believe Leon had a question that no one could answer. "Fine. If I solve it..."
"Anything you want," Leon nodded.
"Okay! What's the question?"
The other students watched with bated breath, wondering what mind-blowing question Leon would ask to justify his confidence.
"Listen carefully!!" Leon announced.
Everyone perked up their ears, eager to hear the question.
"How do you remove an apple from a beer bottle without damaging either the apple or the bottle?"
Leon finished, and the room fell silent.
"That's it?"
After waiting for a while and not hearing anything more, someone cautiously asked.
"That's the question."
William burst into laughter. Did Leon think his brain was broken? Otherwise, how could he pose a question with such an obvious answer? "Hahaha, of course, you take it out the same way you put it in... Leon, is that all you got?"
William wore a smug grin.
"Are you sure?" Leon's smile was teasing, and others sensed there was more to it.
William's voice turned serious. "Of course! You asked this before, and you agreed that was the answer..."
"Did I?" Leon chuckled.
William thought back and realized Leon had neither confirmed nor denied it.
"Is my answer wrong?" William huffed.
Leon didn't bother explaining. "Get an apple and a beer bottle."
Soon, William produced a beer bottle and an apple, handing them to Leon.
The crowd sensed something was about to happen and watched with wide eyes.
Surely, he wasn't going to actually put the apple in, right?
"Watch closely," Leon said lazily, placing the apple at the bottle's mouth. On the count of three, he forcefully slammed the bottle down.
BANG!!
Incredibly, the apple slipped into the bottle. The onlookers were stunned, their jaws dropping.
The apple was indeed inside the bottle, which was still sealed and filled with beer.
Blinking in disbelief, they wondered how this was possible.
If not for the refined manners of the social club members, they might have screamed in shock.
"Alright, I put it in. Now you take it out," Leon Chen said, handing the bottle to William Jiang.
William was dumbfounded.
The room erupted in applause, students marveling at Leon's seemingly supernatural feat of getting the apple into the sealed, beer-filled bottle. Even before the dance began, Leon had already stirred up quite a commotion.
Lily Lin, in disbelief, asked, "Leon, how did you do that?"
"It's my little magic trick, can't reveal it," Leon replied with a chuckle.
Lily nodded and smiled, feeling a wave of sweetness wash over her. Despite their fake relationship, knowing that such an extraordinary person was her "boyfriend" made her feel a bit giddy, especially seeing the envious looks from others.
"Leon, how many more tricks do you have up your sleeve?" Michael Fang asked, jaw dropped.
"More than you can imagine," Leon laughed heartily.
Michael grinned and warned, "Just don't use them to scare me next time, or I'll kick your ass."
"Michael, mind your language in the social club!" a stern voice interjected.
Michael immediately shut his mouth, grinning sheepishly.
A refined young man approached, his every movement and gaze exuding elegance. Beside him was a girl radiating the delicate charm of oriental, graceful and elegant.
"Leon, this is our social club president Ethan Hou and vice president Emma Su," Michael introduced.
They exchanged handshakes.
"Leon, you're quite the enigma," Emma Su said with a gentle smile. "I couldn't think of the answer to that question either."
"Was that student who challenged you here to join the social club? He can be excluded," Ethan Hou declared, immediately earning Leon's favor.
"Agreed," Emma Su nodded, smiling brightly.
