Chapter 91: A City of Neon and Steel

Astra Blaze soared above Nova City, the vibrant capital of the Galactic Council. Neon signs cast a kaleidoscope of colors across the towering skyscrapers, their mirrored surfaces reflecting the endless dance of stars in the night sky. She wasn't on patrol, just enjoying a rare moment of peace after a grueling mission. Below, Prism Gliders zipped between buildings, their sleek forms leaving trails of shimmering light.

A holographic ping flickered on her visor. It was Cygnus Vortex. "Astra, urgent situation at the Nova Central Bank. Looks like Xanathar's behind it."Astra gritted her teeth. Xanathar Prime, the Xandrosian warlord, seemed to relish causing chaos. "I'm on my way, Cygnus." She banked sharply, the wind whipping at her suit as she sped towards the flashing red emergency beacons atop the bank.As she landed on the rooftop, she was met by the imposing figure of Orion Shield. His golden armor, powered by the Celestial Prism, gleamed under the city lights. "Glad you could make it, Astra. Vega's already disabling the security systems."Together, the three heroes descended into the bank's main atrium. The once pristine marble floor was now littered with debris. In the center, a swirling vortex of dark energy pulsed ominously. Standing before it, a figure clad in obsidian armor cackled with glee. It was Nebula Vortex, the rogue Prism Corps member."Nebula," Astra boomed. "Stand down and surrender the access codes."Nebula tilted her head, her eyes glowing with a malevolent light. "Not a chance, Blaze. This little device will grant Xanathar access to the Galactic treasury. Enough credits to fund his war machine for a century!"A furious battle ensued. Astra unleashed a torrent of solar energy, forcing Nebula to teleport away just before it engulfed her. Orion charged, his fist slamming into a shadowy construct conjured by Nebula's Quantum Prism. Cygnus manipulated gravity, flinging debris towards the vortex, disrupting its energy flow.Suddenly, the bank doors blasted open. A squad of Denarians, their crimson armor emblazoned with the Prism Corps insignia, stormed in. Their leader, a stern-faced woman named Captain Amara, assessed the situation with a practiced eye."Centurions, take point! Millennians, secure the perimeter! Corpsmen, evacuate civilians!" she barked, her voice leaving no room for argument. The Denarians, with their superior strength and access to a larger portion of the Prism Force, provided much-needed support. Astra, coordinating with Captain Amara, unleashed a blinding flash of light, momentarily disorienting Nebula. Orion seized the opportunity, lunging forward and delivering a devastating blow that sent the rogue Prism Corps member flying. With Nebula incapacitated, Cygnus used his gravity manipulation to collapse the vortex, severing Xanathar's access to the treasury. Relief washed over Astra, but she knew this was just a small victory in a much larger war. The Prism Corps would have to remain vigilant, ever ready to face the encroaching darkness.
