Half-drunk, half-awake

Uncle Lian hadn't slept, he stayed in the front courtyard tidying up the study. The place loved for its cleanliness and order, any mess was sorted out by him to facilitate his work the next day.

Uncle Lian picked up the brandy glass, "The glass is empty."

After everything was done, Uncle Lian descended the steps, taking the birdcage under the eaves, fearing that rain might come in the middle of the night.

The little sparrow was very excited, probably anticipating seeing its master tonight, still flapping its wings and chirping nonstop at this hour.

Uncle Lian sighed with a chuckle, "Little thing, don't make noise anymore, you've been sent away."

The Oriental sparrow warbler continued to joyously flap its wings, calling out a few times in response.
