Spin-off: Hengli

Once,

Hengli went to pick up Xu Jingxi from work, holding the little sketchbook his mother had given him. He sat obediently in the back seat of the Red Flag L9, his little head not even reaching the window, straining to peek out again and again.

He wondered when his father would appear.

The sun's dazzling light targeted the majestic door atop the steps, with flags fluttering in the wind.

Little Chen carefully attended to the little young master, switching the air conditioning back and forth countless times, fearing the young master might be too cold or too hot. He had a water bottle in his left hand, pastries in the right, and an iPad with games for amusement.

Hengli's small head peered out the window, eagerly waiting for his father to finish the meeting. Occasionally, he checked the time on his small watch, a birthday gift from his mother who had designed it and had Schreyer commission an Italian watch master to make it for his third birthday. He wore it all the time.
