The storm has arrived

"Reishan!"

I faced to the source. Akiff has came back to class, but he was panting so heavily like he has ran nonstop around Singapore.

"What?" Adam and I asked him, giving him some time to drink water and sit by his chair.

"I found something… a scanner,"

Things were getting really peculiar here, I thought. But what scanner is he talking about?

"It just came out! I don't know where did it came from, it just pop, demand me to scan my finger, and vanish into the board!"

"Which board?" asked Adam as his face were full of curiosity.

"The closest to the lab, level 5, I can't believe what I've saw,"

Well, I did not hope for scary things to happen about technology, like cyborgs or other technology monsters. But why must it appear when only Akiff was there, not me a few days ago?

Forget about it. The wind was raging that the windows rattled noisily. The students in my class took a peek at what was happening outside.

The skies were flashing with lightning, dark and swirling like a curse.

A broken piece of a car suddenly landed in the trench in fronf of us. It whammed to the water, then sank down there. Other debris also appeared falling down as heavy rain poured down. Adam, Akiff and I took this chance to get out of class.

What a hectic day! The corridors were slippery as we ran to inspect the 'scanner' that Akiff meant. Probably it could help us get out of here. The wind went worse like a cyclone as we kept running down the stairs.

"Adam!" I shrieked as he slipped down the corridors. A loud thud was heard as I rushed to help. He was very dizzy indeed and blood was dripping down the side of his head.

"Hurry, Akiff, he's passing out!" I shouted in the roaring storm as Akiff pressed several buttons offered by the scanners.

A blue outline wrapped the board and the lines spread to the blocks below and above us, like cracks. An incredible transformation began.

One by one the blocks flew mid-air, like creating something. I was amazed. The wings, the nose, the blaring engines… a jet!

I helped Adam hop on the hovering jet, although a bit shaky because of the winds. Then Akiff and I as the pilot jumped on.

"Hurry up, Reishan! A plane is falling down!" shrieked Akiff as I pulled the trigger and forced to engines to blare. The jet ascended with such high pressure that I felt that I was crushed inside out. I gritted my teeth as a B-747 Jumbo with stripped skin and muted engines was falling like a gigantic rock to our school. I swung the jet to evade the falling Jumbo and watched below as the aircraft crashed and exploded into our school. I watched my surroundings as a horrific sight has been unfolded to my eyes.

A large tornado in the distance was sucking everything in. I dodged some falling debris as I manoeuvred through the collapsing buildings and apartments. Flaming infernos were raging all the way. What a terrible sight!

I pitched the jet slowly into the gloomy skies. My friends were staring to their backs, wondering what kind of tornado will appear in our country. With a gloomy outlook, even I did not know where we should go. I stabilized the jet which was very hard to do for the sake of my friends.

The moment it was calm, just the whirring voice of the engine, I heaved a sigh of relief.

Adam was still passing out, with an asleep Akiff behind his seat.

What just happened? I thought as I stared at the stormy skies, gloomy. I thought I just met that commander a few days ago, and all of this happened.

Snap it out with the thinking! I have to think of an accurate solution to where are we actually going!

Beep! Beep! Sirens of red flashed in front of me, in the controls, the fuel levels were low! Akiff woke up a jolt, Adam suddenly came by!

"What the heck! Short of fuel at 5000 meters! Imagine the crash!" shrieked Akiff as Adam started to panic- he may faint again.

"Yeah, I know where we're going… we're going to die!" I shouted as the engine's sounds started to fade, its activity were almost zero percent. The nose starts to point down, and we were falling from the skies like thrown lambs!

Very desperate indeed, we were shouting off our heads as the plane zoomed down at a break-necking speed to the ground, ready to splat like flattened apples by the busy road.

The plane spun uncontrollably, plunging down like a rock. Passing through the clouds, I have an idea!

The fuel is out, but that doesn't mean the plane could glide! I jabbed the stick, and pulled the plane from a twirling sensation. It was gliding in no time! But of course, it was still going down as we passed through a cloud… tall buildings were below there. Only that makes things worse. Dead engine, going down, into a city?! How are we going to even survive this?!

"Where the heck have they went?" asked a person, Salahuddin. He was skinny and tall, not strong enough that he was called in my school a 'skeleton'. That was how skinny was he. Beside him was a short boy named Shyfil. He stayed silent.

"We were forced to flee. Nearly everything is destroyed by that stupid tornado," sighed Salahuddin.

"Aren't tornadoes are stupid? They really don't have brains, do they?" snickered Shyfil. The one beside him just sighed. Now the two were waiting for they plane to be ready. Lazing about, they clearly had no idea where they were going, or what is happening with their friends.

Because the airport was damaged by the storm, they had to take a taxi all the way to Malaysia. Of course, they were still students, not businessmen, so money is still a scarce resource for them, and wished to be rich as how other children dreamt. With some force and threats, they managed to 'hijack' a taxi all the way to Kuala Lumpur.

As the boarding call has been announced, they bolted to line up.

"I wish we weren't only passengers in an economy class," wailed Salahuddin. Shyfil has already read his context, yeah, he wants to get rich! He thought.

It was a random plane they took: at least they stay far from Singapore. Once the stewards announced that they were going to Jeddah, not a slightest change was observed on their faces. Well, at least we can get a long sleep, Shyfil thought.
