Mayhem In the White World

Chapter 16 Mayhem In the White World The previously beautiful scenery became obliterated as powerful shockwaves cascaded from above by the forceful expulsion of space, violently stripping the leaves from the majestic trees and uprooting tufts of delicate flowers nestled in the shrubbery. The ponds and streams surged and overflowed, quickly muddying the ground. As the shockwaves descended from above, the force pushed both Aleshia and Kailey's bodies violently to the ground. The sky or space above them slowly began fracturing, revealing a plane of existence entirely different from their primitive world. They could see tiny shards of technology too vast for one to comprehend. Aleshia experienced psychological damage when she attempted to understand the fractured inner workings of a device made from the higher world's magic. The Being who came from the shards felt heartache upon witnessing the mayhem it had caused to the beautiful scenery of the lower world's dimension space with its entrance. Meanwhile, Aleshia regained her senses after feeling as if she was hit in the head by the [Rock Bullet] spell. She hurriedly got up from her crumpled position and widened her stance to improve her balance. When she felt satisfied with her stability, she began looking around for Kailey, knowing she would not fare well in these harsh conditions, similar to the chaotic and indiscriminate winds that the wind beasts who ruled the skies produced on the mountains. When Aleshia finally found Kailey, she noticed that Kailey was still on the ground and not moving. Worried, Aleshia rushed over to her. Suddenly, Kailey's body lifted into the air and started floating like her soul. Aleshia was concerned that Kailey might float away, so she quickly cast one of her ensnaring spells, which she usually used on wild animals to catch them. She cast a wind spell in the form of a net, which swiftly covered Kailey. However, when Aleshia tried to retrieve Kailey's body, the magic previously cast was dispelled. When she tried to cast another spell, she felt a significant restriction in her mana flow throughout her body, as if a dampening barrier covered the whole area. The pressure Aleshia felt was unlike anything she had experienced before. The academy's mana-restricting field, which they had been designing for centuries as shields against the demons proficient in wielding magic, was far less powerful, even though it had received funding from the kingdom during warring times and even involved researchers from kingdoms of other nations. The restriction she felt before couldn't even be compared to this.
