Rencounter With the Witch Hat

Chapter 21 Rencounter With the Witch Hat When Kailey tried to touch one of the golem bodies, a golem she hadn't noticed upon entering the hut dropped down from above the door, resembling a spider in its web. It gradually crawled down the wall like a spider crawling down its silk but with the shape of a child's drawing of a human. The disjointed limbs of the humanoid golem would have appeared like a demon from a person's nightmares, with its face lacking any features, just smooth indentations of clay. It slowly approached Kailey while making no noise or sound from its clumsily applied limbs. When the unknown creature was about to grab Kailey with its long arms, it suddenly stopped moving. Kailey had set a trap using a spell when she first sensed it approaching. She quickly moved to a different location when she heard the audible hallucination of a rope becoming taut, checking to make sure she was somewhere out of the creature's reach. When Kailey thought she had reached safety, she gathered her scattered thoughts and turned to confront her mysterious attacker. Instantly, she regretted looking at it with the sight of its inhuman and uncanny form, which made her stomach churn. Gathering her bearings, she cautiously approached the creature, looking it over and realizing that it was identical to the golems she had recently studied. Upon seeing the golem, Kailey felt alarmed and intrigued by the chance to observe an unliving golem. Her mind raced as she realized that a summoned golem should not have been there, as summoned golems typically only last a few minutes to a few hours. She was excited at the prospect of learning about a type of golem that could operate autonomously for centuries without ever disappearing due to being conjured. The golem, confined by Kailey's magic, had previously alerted the territory master to someone's presence inside the restricted room. Unaware of this, Kailey enthusiastically dismantled the golem while another observer watched her. As Kailey inspected the remains of the organized golem, she was suddenly lifted into the air by a mysterious, formless magic she couldn't perceive or comprehend. Looking around frantically, Kailey spotted a witch hat with a slightly brighter hue. Which somehow made her think it was blushing with embarrassment. "How are you in this chamber? How were you even able to enter this hut?! The hut should have locked with my magic!" The hat embarrassedly demanded.
