Chapter 193 Wooden Cups
Tray and Miya both expressed their gratitude and bowed appreciatively. After showing their thanks, they took their cups and began to drink. Tray nearly gulped down his drink in one go but ended up coughing some of it back up. In contrast, Miya sipped her drink slowly, highlighting their different eating habits.
Tray's coughing fit brought a small smile to Miya's face as she delicately sipped on her water.
Aleshia watched the scene unfold and felt conflicted about how she could help Tray with his dilemma. However, seeing the gleaming smile on Miya's face made her decision not to intervene clear. Taking in the joyful smile, Aleshia suddenly noticed that Lucia was no longer on her head. After frantic searching, she spotted Lucia closely examining one of the lights. Aleshia began to ponder whether she should allow Lucia to move around the house independently, ultimately deciding that as long as no one who isn't present finds out, everything should be fine.
After coming to her decision, she refocused on the pair. Tray had regained his composure after the coughing fit and was now sipping from his cup more slowly and carefully, having learned his lesson. Miya appeared to be conflicted about something. Aleshia noticed that Miya's cup was now empty, and without saying a word, she conjured another ball of water for her.
"Thanks," Miya said.
Aleshia noticed that Miya was still conflicted and asked what was bothering her. "What's on your mind? You look guilty about something."
Miya's conflicted look deepened, and she let her guilt spill out. "If you could share some of this water with the others, I'd feel much better," she said, looking down as if she believed that making such a request would insult Aleshia.
Aleshia tried to smile in reassurance, but failed. Instead, she said, "Please no worries there. I can quite confidently cast quite a few waterballs. I'll go around with some more cups and give everyone water."
Miya looked up and thanked Aleshia once again. "That's a relief. Please do that." Miya bowed and then returned to Tray, who looked disappointed at not receiving a refill. Aleshia saw his disappointment and, wanting to be fair, also refilled his cup.
Aleshia kept her promise, grabbing a few wooden cups from the counter. She walked over to the others, handed them a cup, and poured water into them. After giving everyone their water, she received their thanks.
