Ice-Cream Date

He stepped back to examine his work. All one hundred of them circling him in his massive art room. One thing he does apart from work, gazing at the lovely moon and trying to deal with his fears was to paint. Although he wasn't that gifted, but he could try, and it was something he enjoyed doing deep down.

A small smile of satisfaction dawn on his lips as he examined a piece of his now finished work that took him hours of sleepless night. Not that demons really need to sleep. They could go a week without sleeping, and this masterpiece he created was worth it. No one would believe he did all this in such a short period of time.

He painted most of it red, like her lips.

Rayven smiled again as he was this close to losing his mind. He intended to give her all this the moment she steps into his life and redeems him. He made sure the brush he used to paint her was the best and the one no other could get anywhere on earth and in Hell.

He closed his eyes trying to conjure up her form again in his dark mind.

"Ebony," His perfect lips whispered with a smile as he saw her again.

Mine.

Nothing but mine.

He opened his eyes back to the dimly lit room. How he could even paint in the dark was still a mystery. He conjured up a tall stool and sat in the middle. His golden eyes watching every picture of hers like it was everything he'd ever asked for.

"Come to me,"

Her phone vibrated waking her up from her dream. Her cat, Mr. Cuddlebubbles let out a meow and jumped off the chair and ran to her room. Ebony rose from where she has been drooling on her notes and books on her kitchen table. Today was Saturday, which equals no lectures. Most girls would be using this time to go to the mall and have their nails done or watch a super romantic movie with their their boyfriends.

But here she is. Dozing off from hours of insane reading, trying to get her hair from her face. Her phone vibrated once again, and she picked it up to see what the fuss is about.

The first text she received was from Violet. And it reads; Jack agreed to be your date to the twentieth anniversary of our school student's after party coming up in the next three weeks. So, you have no excuse of not coming. Don't be boring by only coming for the one-hour boring speech and assembly. Come for the after party. With Jack too. Talk to you later, going out tonight with some of my rebels!

If Ebony could moan all year about this, she would. How did Jack even agree to be her date?

Wouldn't that be so embarrassing? Jack taking me to the cool party as his date? Don't force him if he is not interested. Thanks. It was her reply.

The next text was a bit disturbing as it was coming from an unknown number. She tapped on it to read and see what it says.

My dear anti-fan, don't dare ask how I got your number. I happened to pray for a miracle. I will be coming over to your place to pick you up for an ice-cream date with me.

Ebony rose to her feet blinking so hard to confirm she did not just read that. She scoffed, I'll just tell him no, thank you. Her heart skipped when she received another one.

By the way, you are getting something much uglier than C in my course if you should say no.

Yours Dearest,

Hale.

She slammed her phone hard on the kitchen counter face time. Regretting it almost immediately when she heard the screen crack. She folded her arms on her chest fuming and finding all this hard to believe.

An Ice-cream date? Really? Are we now playing Romeo and Juliet back in High school? He is a teacher for Heaven's sake! Teachers don't take their students for Ice-cream.

She thought about it long and hard. With her current academic performance, it was very risky getting another grade lower than C in an important course as this. It would really damage all that she has been working relentlessly hard to build. She flopped back down on her chair with her hands on both sides of her head thinking…why in the hell is Hale doing all these?

This goes beyond just wanting to know me more or be my friend.

When Hale arrived in his black sports car that she sure was worth her college fees and her house all together, she stepped out of her house wearing an oversized white hoodie with a lot of sponge bob stickers around it and matching jeans and sneakers. She pushed the cap further down her face as she walked up to him leaning on his car with his arms and legs crossed, observing her.

"What?" She questioned when he wouldn't stop looking at her. Hale as usual was dressed like he was Lady Gaga's cousin and a full-time model. She looked him from head to toe, and she wondered if he doesn't have any regular, less expensive clothes that wouldn't draw too much attention.

"Nothing. You are just too cute."

Ebony scoffed, "And you look like a fake celebrity thanks. Shall we go and get this over with so that I could return and continue with my life?"

Hale smile, it was something more like a sad smile. The sun was moments away from setting, and it was gradually becoming dark. He took a step towards her, and she stepped back, watching his movements with curiosity. He leaned down to gaze at her under her large hoodie cap and gave her the sweetest kind of smile. "You might want to consider what you are wearing, sweetheart,"

Her heart wouldn't just stop responding to him in ways she did not expect. And not to talk of he was awfully close to her face. It made her blush a bit.

"Where we are going is way much more than you think."

"An ice-cream parlor?" She took several steps back just so she could breathe, relax and put a considerable distance between them. "How else should I imagine it?"

Well,

Considering the type of lecturer, she was unfortunately blessed with and the mention of a date to an Ice-cream shop sounded too good to be true.

Club devilz was what was written boldly for her to see as they parked in one of its many underground parking lots. A lot of drunken rich young men and women passed by her with their perfumes and high-pitched laughter. Some already doing the ungodly by a corner.

She quickly stepped back in horror, bumping into Hale who smirked behind her ear.

"Don't worry sweetheart, we are just going to dance and have some fun. I promise to bring you back as I brought you here."
