CHAPTER 4

Jaden woke up the next day and went to work.

He got to work ad was smiling all through and everyone keep wondering what is making him smile.

No one knows why he is smiling except he himself.

He got into his office and sat down then he begin the day's work with an happy face.

He work for a while ad he decided to call Elisa.

Elisa was in her room when Jaden's call came in and picked it up.

"Hello beauty" he said and Elisa found herself blushing at his word.

"Hi" she said simply.

"How was your night?"

"It was fine, I slept like a baby" she said.

"I am glad about that"

"Are you at work now or at home?" He asked.

"Well I am at home just idle"

"Oh sorry it must be really tiring, well I am at work now"

"Oh good for you"

"Okay, we will talk later, I am busy right now. My regards to your friends and don't forget our meeting"

"Okay, I won't, bye" she said and the call was cut.

She stood up and went to take her bath then she dressed up in an official wear.

She decided to go to the publishing company to know how far about her work.

She got down after dressing up then went down to eat her breakfast.

As she got down she saw Sofia serving breakfast and they both greet each other.

After that she greet her mum and they both sat down and eat breakfast.

After she is done she told her mum where she is going and she went out.

She decided to take her car this time so she enter her car and drove out.

She got to the company then she parked and got down then she entered into the manager's office then she sat down and they began discussing.

"Please how is my work going?" She asked.

"Well it is going well, I must really commend you, you are such an amazing writer and I envy you for that"

"Thanks for that sir" she said politely.

"Well for your work this the quotation" the manager said giving her a paper.

She took the paper then she look at it.

"It is okay, I will make a transfer now, when will it be ready please?" She asked.

"It will be ready in a month time after you have paid"

"Okay" she said and make a transfer after collecting the account details.

"Okay, thank you bye" she said and wanted to stand up when the manager spoke up.

"Please I want to make an offer" the manager said.

"Okay" she said sitting back.

"Please can you be a ghost writer in our company?" He asked.

"Well I don't want to write for anyone, I just want every of my stories to be in my name" she said.

"You will be paid handsomely well, I promise you"

"I just don't want it, I don't want to sell my stories"

"It is okay, nice working with you" he said and they shake hands then she went out of the company.

She got out and was walking to her car when she notice someone watching and she look back but did not see anyone.

She got into her car and then she drove back home.

She got home and drop her bag then she went into her room and began thinking of the manager's offer.

She felt like she should accept the offer but she did not want to sell her stories.

She went down and called Sofia and they began talking to make not to feel bored.

They talk together till evening and when Sofia was leaving her she gave her some clothes and other things and this make Sofia happy.

As Sofia left her Jaden's call came in and it was then she remembered they are to meet.

She quickly went to her closet and choose a cloth to wear.

After choosing it she put it on and style her hair then she put a little make up on her face.

Jaden's call came in again and she picked it up.

"Hello, I hope you haven't forgotten our meeting?" He asked.

"No, I am ready"

"Okay, meet me at L & K Eatery" he said and she nodded.

She took her bag and went downstairs then she bade the maids goodbye she went into her car and drove to the location.

Her mum is not at home, she went out also and will be back late in the night so she was able to go out.

She drove to the location and she got down after getting there.

She went into the well finished and equipped eatery.

She began searching for Jaden but she could not see him.

Jaden was sitting at the back end and he could see her searching around so he waved his hands so she could see him but she did not.

He then pick up his phone to call her.

Elisa pick the call ad Jaden told her where she is and she went there then she saw him sitting looking really handsome.

Jaden also stare at her, she found her so beautiful nd he could not take his eyes off her.

He broke the stare after a while and draw out a chair for her to sit and she sat down.

"Thanks for coming to see me" Jaden said.

"That is alright since we are friends"

"You are really beautiful" he said.

"Thanks" Elisa said and blush.

"Firstly, what will you like to eat?" He asked.

"Well, anything is okay by me" she said then he called the waiter and ordered for their food and the waiter went to bring it.

"Okay, can you tell me more about yourself?" He asked.

"There is nothing much to know about me" she said.

"No problem, I am listening" he said.

"Okay, I am a newly graduate of OXFORD UNIVERSITY and the only child of my parents. I a also a writer" she said.

"Wow I am impressed, I heard the only child are always a spoilt brat but seeing you make me think otherwise"

"Well not all only child are spoilt" she said.

"Yeah, okay what stories have you written so far"

"Well story writing is just like a talent I a bestowed with right from heaven and as for the stories I have written, I have written so many stories in my name but I just started the publishing process"

"Nice, I will like to read one of your stories"he said.

"Well that isn't a problem, I will send one to you on WhatsApp for you to read"

"I will be glad" he said.

"Well I am the first child of four children and I am also a graduate and I work in a company as a manager"

"Wow that is impressive, you must be so rich"

"Well I am not that rich"

"Well if you say so" she said and the food was brought to them and they began eating and they also talk about some other things which makes Elisa laugh and they became more close.

After sometimes they left the eatery and bade each other goodbye and they left in their car.

Elisa was about entering her car when she notice someone following her and she look back but could not see anyone so she got into her car and drove out.

She got back home then she got out and went into the car.

She went straight up to her room and she undress and wore her pajamas.

A while later she heard her phone ring and she pick it up after seeing the caller she pick up it.

"Helo cutie, have you gotten home?" He asked.

"Yes, I have, what about you?"

"I just got home now" he said.

"Okay, thanks for today, I really enjoy myself" she said.

"Well I am glad I did, thanks also"

"Bye cutie"

"Who are you talking to that is making you smile?" Brian suddenly said.

"Who is that?" Elisa asked after hearing the voice.

"Don't mind that, it is my silly friend" he said.

"Okay, my regards to him, bye"

"Bye Lisa" he said then cut the call.

Hearing that name from his mouth make Lisa blush.

She went online and she told her friends in the group chat about what she did today.

"Wow nice, someone will date soon" Katherine said.

"Well he is really nice, handsome and friendly" she said.

"Someone is in love already" Mary said.

"I am not in love with him, I just see him as a friend"

"Okay we will see about that soon" Ella said and they talk about some other things.

"I guess that is your crush" Brian said.

"Well she is the one"

"I guess you are getting somewhere with her"

"Yeah I am"

"Good for you"

The next day Elisa decided to go out to visit her friends and as she was going out she heard her name.

"Elisa" she heard a voice call her and she look back to check the person who call her.
