CHAPTER 22

Noah got to his house happily that evening, he was really happy that he finally get to have Elisa to himself.

He called Elisa but she wasn't picking up.

He called again repeatedly but still the same thing.

He drop his phone thinking she is busy with something.

The two gangs move towards Elisa to take her and they both held her dragging her to each other.

They began shouting at each other telling each other to let go but none of them leave her alone.

Seeing this they left Elisa and began fighting each other and Elisa seeing this as an opportunity to escape quickly enter her car and drove off.

By this time the gangs have beaten each other so much they stop and they look around to see if Elisa is still there but they realise she is gone.

They look around for her but they could not find her.

They went into their cars feeling sad and disappointed about themselves.

Elisa got home later and she sat down in fear.

"Who could have send those guys to me and I also realise they were sent by two different people" she said and sighed.

She pick up her phone and saw ten missed calls from Noah and she quickly call him back.

He pick up at the first ring.

"Hello dear, are you okay, I have been calling you but you are not picking up" he said.

"Sorry, I was in a bad situation that I couldn't pick up"

"What situation is that?" He asked worriedly then she explain to him what happened and he became worried.

"You need some security so for this not to happen again, it is obvious some people are after you and I am sure Sofia is part. I will get you some bodyguards and you must not go anywhere without them from now on" he said and she nodded.

"I hope you will be okay over there?" He asked.

"Yes I will don't worry too much" she said

"Okay darling, good night"

"Bye" she said and cut the call.

She was not able to cook that night so she ordered for some food to eat.

After eating she was watching the TV when it was announced that an event will hold for an award to be given to the best writer of the year.

After the announcement the names of the nominees appeared on the screen and she saw her name there also.

This made her happy that her good work will finally be recognised.

After some minutes she went to sleep.

Noah could not sleep, he was just thinking of Elisa's safety and he later send a bodyguard to keep watch on her house till the next morning.

After he send the guard he was able to sleep then.

Early the next morning the guard left the place without letting Elisa see him.

Elisa was woken up by her friends call.

She pick it up, it was a group video call.

She answered and what came first was the shout from them all congratulating her on her nomination.

She had to cover her ear and after they stop shouting she open her ears again.

"What crazy friends I have" she said smiling.

"Good morning princess" they said to her.

"Good morning, why congratulating me, I am just nominated not yet receive the award" she said to them.

"Well I am sure you will win the award because no writer can beat your talent in the country"

"Thanks for the compliment"

"Guys, guess what?"

"Just spill it out already" Katherine said.

"You are such a fun spoiler" Elisa said.

"Just tell us" Mary said impatiently.

"I am finally dating again" she said happily.

"Wow, you finally gave him a chance"

"Yes"

"Okay, good luck in your new relationship" Ella said.

"I hope he doesn't break your heart also" Katherine said.

"I am sure he won't" she said.

"Okay bye, talk to you later, need to prepare for work" Mary said and the call was cut off.

Elisa also stood up and went to take her bath.

She was dressing up when Noah's call came in and she pick it up.

"How is my princess doing today?" He asked.

"I am doing fine" she said blushing.

"I hope you slept well?" He asked.

"Sure" she said.

"What are you doing now?"

"Preparing for work" she answered.

"Don't go anywhere yet, I will send some guards to you before you go" he said.

"Okay sir" she answered.

"Okay bye, talk to you later" he said and cut the call.

Elisa finish dressing up and she went to make breakfast and eat.

After eating she wait for the guards.

Few minutes later, the guards came and then she went out together with them.

They got into her car and one of them drove the car to her company.

They got to her company and they all got out and went into her company.

Her employees saw her and they greet her and she wave at them then she went into her office with the guards trailing behind.

UNKNOWN PLACE

"How could you all be so foolish not to have gotten the girl, this is the second time of you trying and you failed to get her. You all deserve death" A man said furiously and point his gun to them.

They trembled and began begging.

"We are sorry boss" they said to him.

"Get out of my sight right now" he said to them and they scurried away.

Elisa got into her office while the guards stand outside her door keeping watch of all that is going on.

Elisa switch on her laptop and began typing without stopping.

She was still typing when Noah's call came in.

"Hello darling, I hope you are okay with the guards?" He asked.

"Yes, I am okay" she said.

"Okay, let us see after you close from work" he said and she agreed then she cut the call and continue typing.

Sofia call her accomplice to ask if Elisa has been kidnapped successfully but she said she is not yet kidnapped.

"The fools fail to get her again claiming another gang came to kidnap her also"

"Such fools, I think we should do this ourselves"

"What are you thinking?"

"I have a plan" Sofia said.

. "I hope this your plan work out this time around" she said.

"Trust me it will work out" she said and then the call was cut.

After the call was cut Sofia smirked.

"I am coming for you big time Elisa" she said.

Noah and Elisa later meet in the evening and she explain to him all that happened and also told him about the award.

"Who do you think you have a grudge on?" He asked her.

"I do not have a grudge on anyone and I don't know who could be behind this except for Sofia" she said.

"Well I will try to get the people who is behind this, for now make sure you go out with the guards" he said and she nodded.

After the talk they had a romantic moment together and they made out before they both left to their house.

Jaden and Stephanie's relationship were going smoothly but Stephanie keep on receiving those calls and she decided to tell Jaden about it.

After she told Jaden, he knee instantly who is behind this.

He became furious but he assured her that noting bad will happen that she should be calm.

Elisa woke up the next day and decided to visit her parents since it has been a while she visit them.

She told Noah about this and he offered to go with her and she agreed.

Noah got to her house and they went in his car along with the guards.

In few hours they got there and they both went out and went in.

Her mother on seeing her rush to hug her.

"I miss you so much darling" she said to her.

"I miss you too mum" she replied.

Then after she broke the hug she saw Noah and gave Elisa a questioning look.

Elisa understanding what she meant spoke up.

"Mum, this Noah, my boyfriend"

"Your boyfriend again?" Her mother asked.

"Yes mum, what do you mean?" She asked.

"When did Jaden broke up with you that you now have another boyfriend"

"Mum I promise, he is good, he is not like Jaden" she said.

Then her mother glare at Noah which make him scared.

"Let me see you" she said to him and went away.

Noah followed her fearfully and when they got to the balcony she stop and face him.

"Did you really love my daughter or you are here to break her heart also?" She asked him.

"I really love her so much and I won't do anything to hurt her" he said.

"If you dare hurt her or make her shed tears at all you will not like what I will do to you" she said.

"I promise I won't hurt her" he said fearfully.

"I have not accept you yet, I just want my daughter's happiness" she said and leave there.

Noah also left there fearfully.

They got back to the living room and Elisa quickly stood up.

"Mum, what did you ask him? " she asked.

"I just ask him some few questions" she said and then the food was served and they all went to eat.

After a while Elisa and Noah left and as they were going Noah released some breath he never knew he was holding.

"You mum is scary" he said.

"She was just looking out for her daughter, don't worry she will accept you soon" she assured him and he became calm a bit.

They were still driving when a truck came from nowhere and hit them making their car tumble.
