Chapter 141: Nicholas

Nicholas p.o.v.

I put her in my arms, her small body wrapped around my black cassock as I slowly picked her lifeless body from the blood-covered ground, my own body was breathless, fear shrouded my mind and my heart rinsed with pain watching blue marks on her left cheek, dry blood all over her pale face, teeth chattering and her skin cold as ice, even after I put her in my bed and wrapped her fragile body in warm blankets.

It didn't take long for the fireplace to warm the entire small room, but she was still shivering, her eyelashes blinking rapidly as tears glided down from her closed eyes, yet she wasn't waking up, and I could do nothing to help her, all I could do was watch her in pain, and terror with teary eyes.

What the hell I am supposed to do...if only I could take her pain away, but I couldn't, I could do nothing but curse myself for leaving her alone, how much I wish to go back in time and stop myself from leaving her...if only I could.
