You Don’t Like It?

VALERIC had stepped out of his company, and currently, it was very late in the evening. He was standing at the side of the road, and at the feeling of something liquid dropping on him, he lifted his head to stare at the cloudy sky.

It was going to rain again.

And it made him think of someone.

His wife.

Would she be okay? The rain was yet to begin falling, but what if he didn't arrive home before it started pouring? He wouldn't reach home to hear her crying, would he?

A soft breath fled his nose, and he began to walk down the road, an umbrella above his head. He'd asked his driver to come a bit later than usual, as he had the intention of taking a short walk around by himself.
