Chapter 23
The night of the first raid, Amaya sat calmly in the back seat of the car as Mr. Secretary drove her to the site. Looking at her through the rearview mirror, he saw how composed she was despite this being her first raid and felt a bit proud. "How are you feeling, young miss?" he asked.Amaya met his eyes in the mirror and smiled. "It's whatever, I'm not really worried. I know we can win."Mr. Secretary nodded in support. "You are the true young mistress of the Suzuki family. Your father has a message for you." She perked up at the sound of her father. "Don't worry about anything, focus on your goals. I will take care of the rest."Her smile couldn't help but stretch. "Tell him I said thank you.""Yes, young miss."The car drove up to the riverside warehouse where they had been meeting for the past few days. Mr. Secretary got out and opened the back of the car for Amaya to step out. Her combat boots landed on the wet floor; it had been raining for the last few days, and the river was quite high and violent for that reason. Bikes were kept at the compound of the warehouse, and stepping in, she saw a mass of men. They all turned to look at her, their gang coats displaying four striking colours. Scarface and his men wore a deep purple jacket and pants combo. Kaito's men wore a bright red uniform with the words 'Be the best!' written down the back. She wondered if it was chosen by Jean; it looked simple enough. Hiroshi's men wore white, and Kenji and her men wore black. She felt a bit awkward; she hadn't realized they all had uniforms, so she just wore a pair of biker shorts and a sports bra under her large jacket."Boss!" Riku was the first to address her, running up with black fabric folded in his hand. "Sorry we couldn't get your uniform to you before this."She took the fabric in hand and unfolded it. It was black, in a similar style but adjusted for her. On the back, "ヴェネチア." She beamed, taking off her jacket and putting this one on. It was a shame; they would still need to pay for their crimes after this battle. How could such charming kids be such menaces? She did not know how to feel seeing their expectant smiles. Would they still look at her this way once they were in juvie? It amused her a little; did they forget what they did to her when she was weak? Did they think she would just let it go?"Are you all ready?" she asked the mass in the warehouse."YES BOSS!" Their booming voices nearly deafened her.[Are you ready?]'Yes.'╔══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╗Quest Assigned╚══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╝╔══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╗Defeat and engulf Number 20's Network╚══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╝╔══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╗Reward: 10,000,000 coins╚══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╝╔══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╗Failure: Death╚══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╝Amaya whistled in shock, an appropriate reward for such a crazy side quest. The four teams were split to take care of the four big businesses under Number 20. Amaya and her group had the most dangerous drug den to attack. The den was nestled deep within an old factory building, heavily guarded by men who were notorious for their brutality.Amaya led her group to the perimeter of the building, where they crouched behind some old crates. She scanned the area, counting the guards. "Kenji, take the left side. Riku, the right. I'll go straight ahead," she whispered.Kenji and Riku nodded, moving silently into position. Amaya took a deep breath, her senses heightened by the adrenaline coursing through her veins. She signalled to the others, and they moved in.Kenji approached the guards on the left side, his movements swift and silent. He took down one guard with a chokehold, easing him to the ground before he could make a sound. Another guard turned, sensing something was wrong, but Kenji was already upon him, a quick jab to the throat rendering him unconscious. On the right, Riku had similar success. He moved like a shadow, his agility allowing him to slip past the guards unnoticed. He incapacitated them with precise strikes, ensuring they wouldn't raise the alarm.Amaya, meanwhile, moved straight ahead. She took out the first guard with a swift kick to the head, his body crumpling to the ground. Another guard lunged at her, but she sidestepped, delivering a powerful punch to his gut. He doubled over, and she finished him off with a knee to the face. With the perimeter secured, they regrouped near the entrance. "Good job," Amaya whispered. "Now, let's set smoke them out."They moved quickly, lining the building with gas canisters. The plan was to smoke out the gangsters, forcing them into the open where Kenji and Riku's men would be waiting. Amaya's heart pounded as they set the last of the cannisters. Walking into a den like that wasn't a good idea, smoking them out was the best way forward."Ready?" Kenji asked, his eyes glinting with excitement.Amaya nodded. "Ready."Kenji lit the fuse, and they retreated to a safe distance. Within moments, the canisters ignited, and thick smoke began to pour into the building. Shouts of alarm echoed from inside as the gangsters realized what was happening. The doors burst open, and the first wave of men stumbled out, coughing and gasping for air. Kenji and Riku's men were ready, launching a coordinated attack. Fists flew, and the sound of combat filled the night.Amaya watched from her vantage point, her eyes scanning for any signs of trouble. She spotted a group of gangsters trying to flank them and moved to intercept. Her movements were a blur as she engaged them, her strikes precise and devastating.Kenji fought alongside her, his strength and speed unmatched. He took down two men with a single punch, his expression fierce. Riku, meanwhile, leveraged his agility allowing him to outmanoeuvre his opponents with ease. The gangsters fought back with desperation, their anger fuelling their attacks. But Amaya and her team were just better, there was no chance a common gangster could win. They'd need to send in a number.╔══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╗Nakamura Takashi [hp: 100/100]Watanabe Hiroshi [hp: 100/100]Aoki Kenji [hp: 100/100]Kitagawa Riku [hp: 100/100]Hashimoto Kaito [hp: 100/100]╚══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╝╔══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╗Body count: 51╚══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╝'Everyone is still alive and well, pretty good.'One of the gangsters, a tall, burly man with a scar across his neck, charged at Amaya, a metal pipe in hand. She dodged his swing, her eyes narrowing. He swung again, but she caught the pipe, wrenching it from his grasp. With a swift motion, she knocked him to the ground, her foot pressing down on his chest. The man glared up at her, defiance in his eyes. But he didn't move, recognizing the futility of his situation.Kenji and Riku's men continued to mop up the remaining gangsters, the sounds of battle gradually dying down. The smoke began to clear, revealing the full extent of the chaos. The ground was littered with unconscious and groaning figures, but the drug den was theirs."Good job, everyone," she called out, her voice carrying over the silence. "Reinforcements will soon arrive, get ready."Soon enough, they heard the sound of motorcycles approaching. Amaya turned, her eyes narrowing as she saw a group of men riding up, their bikes skidding to a halt. At the front of the group was a man with the number 35 tattooed on his neck."Number 35," Amaya muttered, recognizing him immediately. He was one of Number 20's top lieutenants.Number 35 dismounted his bike, a cruel smile on his face as he surveyed the scene. "You must be Amaya," he said, his voice dripping with mockery. "Number 20 told me about you. Said you were causing quite a bit of trouble."Amaya's grip tightened on the bat she had pulled from her inventory, fighting a number empty handed was too risky. "I'm not here to talk."Number 35 laughed, a harsh, grating sound. "Good. I prefer action." He signalled to his men, who began to fan out, surrounding Amaya and her team.Kenji and Riku readied themselves, but Amaya held up a hand. "This one's mine," she said coldly. She stepped forward, her bat held at the ready. Number 35 mirrored her movements, drawing a knife from his belt. They circled each other, the tension between them crackling in the air.Without warning, Number 35 lunged, his knife flashing in the dim light. Amaya sidestepped, bringing her bat down in a swift arc. The bat connected with Number 35's arm, and he grunted in pain, dropping the knife."Is that all you've got?" Amaya taunted, her eyes taunting his merger existence.Number 35 snarled, his face contorting with rage. He charged at her again, but Amaya was ready. She swung the bat with all her strength, catching him in the side. The impact sent him sprawling to the ground. He struggled to his feet, but Amaya was relentless. She advanced on him, her bat resounding as she struck him again and again. Each blow sending a wave of pain through his body.Number 35 managed to get a few hits in, his fists connecting with her ribs and face. But Amaya didn't falter. She absorbed the blows, her focus unbroken. She could see the fear growing in his eyes, his confidence waning with each passing second. Finally, with a powerful swing, Amaya knocked Number 35 to the ground. He lay there, gasping for breath, his face a mask of pain and defeat.Amaya stood over him, her chest heaving with exertion. "you should call out your Boss," she said, her voice icy. "I have a bone to pick with him."╔══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╗Nakamura Takashi [hp: 80/100]Watanabe Hiroshi [hp: 98/100]Aoki Kenji [hp: 93/100]Kitagawa Riku [hp: 90/100]Hashimoto Kaito [hp: 68/100]╚══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╝╔══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╗Body count: 92╚══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╝╔══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╗Body count: 102╚══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╝╔══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╗Body count: 115╚══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╝Hiroshi led his team towards their target: one of Number 20's brothels. Nestled in the back alleys of Kurasuno, the building was deceptively quiet, its true nature hidden behind closed doors and guarded windows. Hiroshi's men moved with silent precision, their white uniforms stark against the darkness.Hiroshi paused at the edge of the alley, his sharp eyes scanning the surroundings. His team waited for his signal, each one tense and ready for action. "Remember," he whispered, "we go in fast and quiet. We take out the guards first, then we secure the girls and gather any intel we can find. We need to hit them hard and leave no trace."His men nodded, their expressions grim. They had trained for this moment, and now it was time to put their skills to the test.Hiroshi motioned for them to move. They split into small groups, each taking a different approach to the building. Hiroshi himself took the lead, his movements fluid and purposeful. He reached the first guard, a large, muscular man lounging by the entrance, and dispatched him with a swift chop to the neck. The guard crumpled without a sound, and Hiroshi dragged him into the shadows.Meanwhile, his men were making quick work of the other guards. One by one, they fell, their unconscious bodies hidden from view. Hiroshi signalled for the next phase of the plan, and his team moved towards the main entrance.Inside, the brothel was a stark contrast to the grim exterior. The air was thick with the smell of cheap perfume and sweat, and the dim lighting cast eerie shadows on the walls. Hiroshi's men fanned out, their presence unnoticed by the patrons and workers who were too engrossed in their own activities. He reached the office where the brothel's overseer was likely holed up and kicked the door open. The man behind the desk looked up in surprise, his hand reaching for a gun. But Hiroshi was faster. He lunged forward, knocking the gun out of the man's hand and pinning him to the desk."Who runs this place?" Hiroshi demanded, his voice cold. The overseer sneered, struggling against Hiroshi's grip. "You'll never get to him. You're just a bunch of kids playing at being heroes."Hiroshi tightened his grip, his eyes narrowing. "Tell me, or I'll make sure you regret it."The overseer hesitated, then spat out a name. "Number 35. He's the one in charge here."Hiroshi's expression darkened. So, they were dealing with one of Number 20's higher-ups. He had expected as much, but hearing it confirmed made his resolve even stronger. He knocked the overseer out with a swift punch and signalled for his men to secure any documents or evidence they could find. They worked quickly, gathering files, ledgers, and anything else that might be useful.Hiroshi led his team out into the night, their mission accomplished. They moved swiftly through the alleys, their footsteps echoing in the quiet as the moved to the next brothel. As many files as they could get, as much evidence as they could gather, it was the only way to make sure this shit comes to an end expeditiously.
