The clock had just ticked past four a.m. when a sudden, faint noise caught Marcus and Alina's attention. Both exchanged puzzled glances, sensing a presence near the gate. Without a word, they hurried toward the source, their curiosity piqued and concern growing.
As they approached the gate, they saw a shadowy figure moving swiftly towards the servant's quarters. Marcus squinted, trying to make out the figure, only to realize with surprise, "Mom?" It was Dana.
She moved with purpose, her steps quick and firm, heading directly for the servants' quarters. The confusion deepened as they followed her, keeping their distance but close enough to see what was happening.
Before they could catch up, Dana emerged from the quarters, dragging a disheveled Betty by the arm. The servant's face was pale, eyes wide with fear, her knees barely holding her.
"Mom, what are you doing?" Marcus's voice was laced with confusion as he stepped forward.
