Alina & Paul – A Father's Comfort
Alina led her father into her room, closing the door behind them. She had so much to say, but where would she even begin?
Sitting on the bed, she glanced at Paul, who had taken the chair by her desk, his gaze soft and full of warmth.
"So, Dad," she teased, trying to lighten the mood. "How's work? Did you finally find another woman to replace me?"
Paul chuckled, shaking his head. "Work is good, but you know you're the only woman in my life, princess."
Alina grinned before her expression turned serious. She swallowed, nerves creeping into her voice. "Did Dana tell you?"
"Tell me what?" Paul asked, his smile fading into concern.
"That Mom is alive." Her voice wavered, her eyes shining with excitement. "She's alive, Dad. Isn't that amazing? I'm finally going to meet her."
Paul let out a slow breath, nodding. "Yes, Dana told me everything."
