After that day, Tessa and Elias avoided each other like plagues, each of them not bothering to acknowledge the other. 

It became so obvious that the news spread throughout the castle, granting the hateful Consorts leverage on her. They would find ways to bully her, and even push her to the brink which she hadn't fallen for so far.

"Let's report them to the Alpha King," her handmaiden who couldn't bear the humiliation anymore, would say but Tessa would wave it off. 

She would rather enter hell than seek help from the bastard. 

"Just leave them, now is not the time to retaliate." She would always answer.

Two days later, Tessa was preparing her luggage to leave with Elias for an event. He wouldn't allow her to leave with her handmaiden and she fought the urge to argue with him. He was trying to make her speak to him but she was never going to stoop that low.

She doesn't need a sidekick anyway, she would be fine on her own.
