Chapter 79:

After about and hour, the wreckage still smoked as S.H.I.E.L.D. cleanup units arrived on the scene. The amazement at seeing the flattened city, lack of building and trees, only seeing a charred city with obsidian glass on the floor all broken up and torn apart. It looked like someone had tried to fold reality in half and gave up halfway, but that's what happens when a literal nuclear blast goes off isn't it.

The X-Men had already departed with Gojo, vanishing into the wind before they arrived here to avoid any trouble and unnecessary drama.

Tony Stark stood in the middle of the chaos, arms folded as he looked upon the sight and sighed, helmet tucked under one arm, the other hand resting casually on his hip as if surveying a half-finished renovation project. He let out a low whistle.

"Well… that went better than my last three dates combined," he muttered, smirking to himself. "And less fiery. Barely."

Putting his head piece back on as he launched into the sky in a burst of red and gold, streaking across the decimated city, Jarvis' voice pinged in through the helmet.

"Scan complete, sir."

Tony grinned. "Finally, alright Jarvis Lay it on me. Show me the golden boy."

A mini holographic display flickered into existence inside his HUD, forming the image of Gojo Satoru in glowing blue lines. The overlay shifted constantly, data feeding in muscle density, skeletal strength, and a steady breathing pattern that hadn't changed even after he was buried alive under a city block.

"Skin density is approximately 100s of times that of standard human tissue, with a regenerative factor maintaining perfect cellular condition,"Jarvis began. "Bone structure displays signs of composite layering, similar to reinforced titanium alloys organic, of course. Breathing and cardiovascular data remain unchanged even under extreme stress or trauma. Subject appears immune to internal or external pressure fluctuations."

Tony blinked. "So… guy gets pancaked by Magneto, flattened by debris, suffocated, and walks away with a smirk?"

"Correct, sir."

"Wow, what a Show-off," Tony muttered, still impressed.

The data continued to scroll beside Gojo's image. Next came a breakdown of ability usage during the fight, shown in clean glowing sequences.

"Observed powers: Telekinesis, Telepathy, Instantaneous Spatial Teleportation, Enhanced Healing Factor, and a heightened physiological state. Additionally, there appears to be a defensive field around him telekinetic in nature no more than one centimeter thick, yet capable of withstanding high-impact force."

A diagram unfolded, showing Gojo's body in profile, surrounded by a thin shimmering layer.

"Shield integrity is consistent. Notably, this field is far denser now than during his earlier conflict with Graviton on the Raft. Displaying comparison now."

Another image appeared, split-screen. The earlier version of Gojo had a soft, blanket-like aura surrounding him, a shimmering bubble of protection. Now, the field was a thread-thin veil, almost invisible… but pulsing with terrifying force.

"Okay, what am I looking at here, Jarvis? This looks like someone replaced bubble wrap with… I don't know, neutronium lace."

"Accurate analogy, sir. The prior version was powerful but diffused. Current version demonstrates qualitative and quantitative improvements in both density and structure. Current hypothesis: Gojo may now be capable of surviving a localized nuclear detonation with minimal damage."

Tony arched a brow. "...That's a hell of a jump. That shield looks like it could turn a Hulk punch into a love tap."

"Indeed. Based on his current progression rate, his abilities appear to evolve and refine with increased usage and exposure to extreme conditions. Adaptive mutation, perhaps."

Tony let out a low whistle. "So the more he breaks, the stronger he gets."

"A crude but serviceable metaphor. I have classified him under Omega-Level mutant protocols for future reference."

"Yeah," Tony said, still watching the hologram. "Omega-plus, if that's even a thing."

The air around him crackled as he soared through the clouds, heading back toward Stark Tower. For a moment, all was silent until the comms pinged again.

"Fury to Stark. Status report."

Tony grinned. "Oh, you know. Just cleaning up after your little 'he might be dangerous' party. Your agents are napping on the job, by the way."

"How's the boy?"

"Physically? Fine. Emotionally? Who knows. Fashionably? Still too good. He makes me feel underdressed in power armor."

There was a short silence, then Fury spoke again, tone more serious.

"Any chance we can get him on the Avengers roster?"

Tony laughed. "You want Gojo on the team? Why, so the Council can stop having aneurysms?"

"It'd calm things down, yeah. Get them off his ass. And mine."

Tony tilted mid-air, twisting lazily through the cloudline as he considered it. "Tell the Council to shove it and for once with their paranoia and 'we need to control all the variable there is' speech and as for asking about joining, I'll think about it. Right after I finish convincing Thor to stop bringing goats into the living room.

The line went dead as Fury cut the call.

Tony sighed and stared at the image of Gojo one more time. "Omega-level… city-flattening… literal god-mode kid. And we thought the Hulk on sugar was scary."

He smirked, redirected his course, and shot toward home.

"Jarvis?"

"Yes, sir?"

"Let's put Gojo on the 'do not piss off' list. Bold font. Red text. Maybe flashing… yeah definitely flashing red."
