"Are you pregnant?"

He Sang looked at the pregnancy test on the table, feeling inexplicably anxious.

She had made a serious mistake.

Things got too passionate with the man in the car, and the condom broke.

He was usually very cautious about this, always making sure she took precautions to avoid any trouble. But last time, they got carried away.

In a daze, a beam of headlights shone through the window. She walked towards the balcony and saw the black Hongqi L5 slowly driving into the garage.

He was back.

With a status prestigious enough to drive that car, no one else in the city could match him.

He Sang took a deep breath and skillfully removed her makeup.

After washing her face and opening the door, it wasn't him standing in the hallway but a voluptuous, enchanting woman. "Mr. Liang has a social event and will be sleeping at the office," she said, handing over the car keys. "I bought new men's pajamas and underwear; they're in the trunk. Remember to wash and sanitize them."

This woman was Xin Xin, a PR officer under the man. In essence, a subordinate, but with big ambitions, aiming to become the mistress.

He Sang took the keys. "Thanks for letting me know."

Xin Xin pushed her luck. "Before you, Mr. Liang was used to me taking care of him. Feel free to ask if you need any pointers."

A subtle but clear provocation. He Sang wasn't one to back down, smiling with arched eyebrows, "Well, you do have a knack for mimicking his favorite. No wonder he doesn't mind a cheap imitation."

Xin Xin's face instantly turned ugly.

Having dealt with all kinds of scheming experts, the only ones bold enough to challenge her were Xin Xin and that stunning beauty from Nanhai Bay.

These two acted all tender and loving in front of the man. He Sang didn't mind the small fry like Xin Xin but cared about the woman from Nanhai Bay.

She was the real deadly rival.

Lying in bed, sleepless until the early hours, the living room light flickered on at one o'clock. He Sang got up to meet him, "Shen."

The man had sobered up outside, taking off his suit. "Why aren't you asleep?"

She pressed her lips together. "Waiting for you."

Liang Ji Shen was exceptionally handsome, with a slightly tanned complexion and an old scar at the end of his eyebrow, exuding a certain primal allure.

He belonged to the mature and dashing type, his masculinity rich and intense. Occasionally, a casual, roguish smile would enchant many women.

"Been busy lately," he said nonchalantly, "won't be around much."

He Sang hung his suit in the closet. "Manager Xin told me you had a business dinner tonight."

She left it at that, but Liang Ji Shen caught the implication. "Xin Xin is a subordinate, she can't threaten you."

He turned, noticing the unopened pregnancy test on the table. His eyes narrowed, emotions unreadable. "Are you pregnant?"

"Haven't had a chance to check yet. It was that time in the underground garage," He Sang tested his reaction. "Would you be happy if I were pregnant?"

He continued unbuttoning his shirt, remaining calm. "What do you think?"

"I think you wouldn't be happy."

"That's a discussion for later." He seemed indifferent, sitting on the sofa and flipping through a magazine. "Take the test first."

He was bathed in the light, his noble and handsome demeanor making He Sang feel increasingly dazed.

It seemed she had never truly entered his heart.

Suppressing her hurt, He Sang asked, "Is it that no woman other than her has the right to carry your child?"

Liang Ji Shen didn't respond, his dark gaze devoid of warmth.

All this time, as a boyfriend, he had been impeccable—gifting her a house, a car, elevating her to the star of the theater. He had given her everything he could.

But she could never replace that untouchable taboo in his heart.

The test result came back negative. She wasn't pregnant.
