escape?

The guards took shifts, maintaining a constant watch over us. I had lost track of time. I didn't know whether it was night or day, or what was actually going to happen to us.

I wondered who, if anyone, would come to rescue us. My mind drifted to thoughts of my life before this nightmare.

I didn't know if this was the end. I didn't know when I would be free, or if freedom had become a distant dream.

Time passed slowly. The room felt like a prison, suffocating and filled with despair. Most of the girls were scared, their eyes darting around anxiously.

Sleep was elusive, but the guards seemed to have no trouble. We saw four of them asleep, sprawled out in unctooomfortable positions, their snores echoing in the quiet room.

The remaining two were busy with their laptops, their faces illuminated by the glow of the screens. They seemed oblivious to our presence, more concerned with whatever they were doing.
