Arnold as a fiancée

Arnold's POV

We're already close to finishing what we're doing. The wind is colder already, and a drizzle has started.

I dragged Lucille and excused us. I notice that she's losing herself. Mom noticed that, so she agreed that we could leave and talk.

I dragged her in a carriage. I lock the door and close the curtain. I snap my fingers in her face.

"Hey, Lucille. Snap out of your senses. What is happening with you?" I softly ask.

Tears fall down on her cheeks. She raises her palm and tries to shed them but loses it.

"I'm sorry. I know everyone was trying to cheer me up, but I can't help it. I feel like I'm going crazy because of the situation. St. Claire had been my home, and now it's..." she pauses.

She sobbed and cried as loud as she could. I didn't stop her or even tease her.

That day when we first met, she was proud and strong. This was the first time she showed me her strength.
