Ru returned to the school about a week later as Jenna, with the blacklist he had prepared. Finding the people who broke Jenna's heart wasn't as hard as Ru thought it would be. His first target was Jack, then Aria.
Jenna, aka Ru, kicked both of their asses. S/he used traps instead of brute force. Aria fell down the stairs and Jack got electrocuted, but it was all an accident. Tragically, one of the teachers said that these two back-to-back events were no coincidence.
"Meh!"
So Ru got called into the principal's office on the first day of his new school. Jenna's family was notified, and Jenna/Ru was punished.
"Nah!"
In the second week, many people who knew or thought they knew the girl began to ask, "Why is Jenna behaving like this?"
Wherever s/he went, the main topic of whispers was:
"What's wrong with this girl?"
"She's wearing pink instead of black and purple."
"Why is she acting so wild when she looks so sweet?"
"Could Jenna have been possessed by a demon?"
Of course, there were a few things that were going well in Jenna's life, thanks to Ru. S/he was rapidly improving in all subjects, especially in math.
"You're all morons for trying to cheat off my test paper, so just suck my dick," Ru was saying things like.
Jenna was not in the habit of saying things like that to her friends all the time. She was always a kind and good person.
"Something happened to Jenna."
"Yes, something happened to her."
"It's probably because of that accident."
"Did her heart stop or something?"
"No, I just lost some blood, you retard," Ru said, still possessing supernaturally sharp hearing.
According to the account, Jenna had been in an accident. Whatever the accident was, it resulted in her wrist being cut. So, for some reason that Ru couldn't understand, it seemed like the girl had attempted suicide. When Ru first saw her, she was in a coffin and definitely dead. Based on these findings, Jenna had succeeded in her suicide attempt.
However, the problem was that there was neither a dead body nor an arranged funeral. The girl should have been in the hospital all along. In fact, it was in the hospital that Ru first opened his eyes after encountering the man in the red hood. This meant that something had happened during that intervening time.
One night, unexpectedly, the window of Jenna's room opened. Ru pretended to be asleep in bed while holding the knife under the pillow. He suspected that the man in the red hood was the one coming. Shortly afterward, he saw that he wasn't mistaken.
He suddenly sat up in bed and menacingly brandished the knife.
"You're alive, Donatella. Lucky you," the man said in a hushed tone.
"It's not Donatella, it's Jenna," Ru said, seriously.
"The name she gave herself was Donatella. She also had a dream," the man said.
"Oh yeah, that's a crazy dream. She wanted to be a vampire, so she tried to kill herself for it," Ru said, pointing to an illustration of Jenna on the wall.
The man in the red hood sat down at the edge of the bed, ignoring the knife, and placed a sketchbook and a box full of drawing pens in front of Ru.
"Illustrate the sigil of the genie, Donatella. Stop stalling me," he said.
"First of all, I'm aware that you put me to sleep and showed me a dream," Ru began. He eased off the knife for now and continued speaking, "I don't live in this girl's body. I'm in your hands. I don't know where you're keeping me, but let me go. Because I have no idea what those shitty genies and sigils you're talking about are."
"There must be, there must be," said the man who opened the box of crayons. "What color was it?"
"What color was what?" Ru questioned, shocked.
"What color was the sigil painted with? Or what was it painted with?" the man asked.
"Look, you don't understand me, or you insist on not understanding me," Ru said angrily.
"I understand you, Donatella, but you must understand me. The sorcerer wants that seal. If you don't give it to him, he will transfer your consciousness into an egg and then break it and make an omelet. I told him, 'You should make a frittata al formaggio with Ru-egg. Oh, delizioso," he said, squinting his red glowing eyes.
"Ha ha, that's funny," Ru said sarcastically, and then he suddenly stopped. "Did you just say, sorcerer?"
The man shook his head affirmatively.
"Which sorcerer is this? Do I know him?" Ru asked.
The man nodded again.
"Familiar sorcerer... Do I know a sorcerer?" Ru asked in surprise.
When the man just shook his head again, Ru became angry and shouted, "Say something! Are you trying to drive me crazy!"
"The sorcerer is upset with you," the man said.
"Why?" Ru asked.
"You asked for help from the witch, not him," the man replied.
When Ru asked, "Why would I ask for help from a witch?" The man showed he didn't know by shrugging.
Ru was looking for the answer, and it was like an imaginary apple falling on his head.
BUMP!
"Oh, wait a minute, you're talking about the Great Ru," Ru said suddenly.
"I think so. Now, you just illustrate the sigil," said the man, handing over the blue pen.
Ru ignored the pen and asked a question, "Did you manage to get my body back from the witch?"
The man replied, "Not yet."
"Then I refuse to illustrate the sigil," Ru said firmly.
"I'm going to bite you," the man said in a threatening tone.
"Do you see that knife?" Ru asked, licking the knife.
Before Ru could figure out what was going on, the knife in his hand transformed into ice cream.
"What the hell?"
"Devi provare il gelato Milano. È delizioso," the man said.
Ru threw the ice cream at his head. The man darted away from him with a movement that was too fast for him to catch.
"Good, stay away from me," Ru replied, taking a nearby light to use as a weapon. Ru flung it at the man, but he dodged easily, his motions a blur.
The man gave a wicked laugh and lunged toward Ru. Ru ducked barely in time as the man crashed into the dresser, scattering makeup and trinkets.
Ru responded fast, picking up a heavy book and throwing it at the man's head. The man dodged the book. Ru moved backward, looking for any weapon.
The man rushed forward, his eyes bright with thirst. He reached out to grab Ru.
Ru ran behind the full-length mirror.
The man hissed as he met his own absence in the mirror.
Ru declared, "I found you, vampire!"
"Yes, I am," the man said.
Ru didn't wait—he sprinted for the door, but the vampire recovered quickly, grabbing Ru by the arm and pulling him back. Ru struggled, kicking and screaming, trying to break free from his iron grip.
“HELP! Help me, DAD!"
Just as the man leaned in, ready to sink his fangs into Ru’s neck, the door was kicked open.
The father rushed in with his gun pointed and shouted, "Don't move!"
Ru instinctively lifted his hands and bowed his head. What he saw on the parquet floor at that moment was beyond comprehension. Blood was pooled beneath the bed.
