Ru flinched, his head snapping toward the window as he grabbed onto Kaero's arm. Kaero just rolled his eyes and mumbled, "Of course it's you."

The windowpane transformed into liquid, cascading into the room to shape Heise's extraordinary form. First, his silk hanfu materialized, followed by his boots gently touching the floor. His snake eyes opened with ethereal sparkles. He wore his usual grin, the kind that could pass through steel and still look like an invitation to a party.

"A grand entrance for a usual event," Ru mocked, but his voice cracked.

"I think it's important," Heise said, brushing imaginary dust off his hanfu. "I was already listening in from the garden. Tears and trauma always make for excellent broadcast drama."

Kaero glared at him. "You're definitely a dragon."

"Ah, you caught me," Heise said, placing his hand to his torso in mock surrender and bowing his head slightly. "Yes, I am a dragon. Next question?"
