Izuki's New claymore

The chapter starts as Izuki practicing his spell.

“Atomic Slash!”

Izuki swings his claymore at the tree.

“Tch!!” Izuki said, while he was catching up his breath.

“(Why?!)” Izuki said, as he uses the same spell on a tree again. But this time the spell didn’t do much damage, as the previous one.

“(Why, I can’t do the same power, as I did. That night?!)” Izuki said, as he did the same spell again, and this time, it was much weaker.

“Curse!!! Curse!!!” Izuki said, as he hit the same tree again. While Izuki was hitting the tree, he didn’t know, Subaru was watching him from behind.

“Hey! Izuki!” Subaru said, as he gets down on their base.

“Subaru…” Izuki said, as he sees Subaru approaching him.

“I see, that you’re having a hard time. Using your magic.” Subaru said.

Izuki just looks at Subaru.

“Can you think of another spell? If you’re having trouble using that same spell.” Subaru said.

“I can, but it wound be hard. For me to create another spell. Because of my other magic.” Izuki said as he looks away.

“Other magic?” Subaru said in confusing tone.

“Yeah, my other magic, is where my claymore come from.” Izuki said.

“Hmm? And it was?” Subaru asks.

“Blade magic.” Izuki said.

“Can’t you make other spell with your other magic?” Subaru asks.

“I can’t…” Izuki said, while looking away.

“Huh? What do you mean you can’t?” Subaru asks.

“That’s because. In order for me to make another spell, I need to remove this claymore.” Izuki responds as he points at his claymore.

“Why don’t you remove it?” Subaru said.

“It wasn’t that easy. If I can, I already did it, a long time ago.” Izuki said, as he stands up.

“Is there any, draw back. When you remove your claymore?” Subaru asks.

“Yeah, there is…” Izuki said, as his voice tone weakened.

“And it is?” Subaru asks.

“It drains a lot of mana…”

“Is that so. I have an idea, but before that can you show it me first?” Subaru said, while his right hand is under his chin.

“Yeah…” Izuki said, with confusion, but he still did, what Subaru asks him.

“Before that, where’s Umaru, and the others?” Izuki asks.

“Oh… They went to the mall, because Ganyu-san said that she will treat them. Umaru, Nino, Itsuki, Izumi, Onodera, Yuru, and even Takamiya. Ganyu-san said that she will also treat her, before she goes back to her town.” Subaru said, while looking in the sky.

“Is that so…” Izuki said. “Remove.” Izuki cast the spell, and his claymore slowly disappear.

“Can you try making other spell?” Subaru asks.

“I can, but if I fail to execute the spell, it will cost me the same mana, as the complete one.” Izuki said.

“I told you, I got an idea, just do it.” Subaru said.

Izuki sighed, and then he try to create a new spell.

“Blade magic… hmmm…” Izuki said, while thinking.

“Tch, just think of a spell!” Subaru yells.

When Subaru yell, Izuki said the word in his mind.

“Thousand blades!”

When Izuki cast the word in his mind it works, but—

“Izuki… Did you say thousand blades?” Subaru asks.

“Yeah. Why?” Izuki responds.

“W-well, there’s only 10 blades that were floating.” Subaru said, as he points at the blades.

“Eh?!” Izuki said, as he looks where Subaru pointing, and there he sees the 10 blades, that Subaru talks about.

“I failed?” Izuki said, then Subaru talk.

“We will never know, not now, since you said, that it will cost the same amount of mana, complete or not, right?”

“Yeah…” Izuki responds while his body is facing his blade, and his head facing Subaru.

“Maybe, that’s only the max amount of blade that you can release yet, or maybe you failed. Since we don’t know, if you failed or not.” Subaru said, with his right hand under his chin.

Izuki looks at Subaru, then Subaru talks again.

“Say Izuki, can you control them all?” Subaru asks.

“Control them all?” Izuki responds.

After Izuki respond, he stand up, and he points his hands at his blade, and he tries to control it. But it didn’t work.

“So, it’s a failed, huh.” Subaru said.

“No! Don’t say that, I don’t know how to control this yet. And you’re the one who said to make this. And you’re saying that it was a failed spell? When you just said that we still don’t know if it was failed or not.” Izuki said in confused tone.

“Then control it, so you can have it around yourself.” Subaru said.

“I will. After all I’m not going to lose on you, Kazuya, Katsu, and Zakuya.” Izuki said, with a smile in his face.

After that Izuki stand up, and he points at the 10 blades, and he release all his mana on his hand, and when he did all the blade move.

“(I moved it!)” Izuki said in his mind after seeing the blades move. Then Subaru get away from Izuki.

“Hey, Izuki! Hit me with that!” Subaru said, as he releases his sword. Izuki looks at Subaru, as an “Heh?” Come out of his mouth, then he smiles, and he yells. “You got it! Haaaaa!!!!!” Then he commands the blade towards Subaru.

When Subaru sees, the blade coming towards him. He felt something different, so he disables his sword immediately, and he cast a spell—

“Lightning Magic: Lightning shield!”

Subaru extend his arms forwards, and he points it in front of him, then a yellow transparent shield that were emitting lightning appear in front of Subaru.

“Huh?” Izuki said, after he sees the spell that Subaru uses.

After that the 10 blades pierce on Subaru’s shield.

“(Izuki... His spell is stronger than it looks, so he wasn’t joking about not going to lose to us.)” Subaru said, in his mind, then he hear Izuki falls to the ground exhausted.

“(I use all my mana there.)” Izuki said in his mind, catching his breath, while he was down on the ground.

Then a bottle that has a blue liquid inside, falls on the ground in front of him.

“Izuki drink that, it will refill all of your mana.” Subaru said, as he sits down.

Izuki takes the bottle, and then he drinks it all. After he drinks all the liquid inside, his strength come back. Izuki stands up.

“See, I told you. I have an idea.” Subaru said, while he was Indian sitting in front of Izuki.

After that they see Eichi, walking towards them.

“Ohh… I see their back, huh.” Subaru said, as he sees Eichi.

While looking at Eichi, notice that Eichi has a bag of something in her back.

“Isogai-kun!” Eichi said, while running, and waving her hand towards Izuki.

“Ohh… Takamiya-san, your back.” Izuki said. Then the 10 blades come back to him to surround him.

“Here.” Eichi said, as she hands Izuki, the bag behind her.

“What is that?” Izuki asks, then Eichi place the thing behind her to the ground, and she removed the item inside the bag. Inside of the bag was—

“Claymore?” Subaru asks, as he see what Eichi bring.

“For you.” Eichi said.

The claymore that Eichi gives has a color light blue in it, but it was full of rust. After looking at the claymore, Izuki holds the Claymore, and right after he hold the claymore, he felt something.

“Anyway Takamiya-san, where’s Nino, and others?” Subaru asks.

“Oh… Them. I told them, I’m going back first.” Eichi said, while her finger is on her chin.

“Takamiya-san, thank you for this. I appreciate it.” Izuki said, while holding his claymore.

Then Izuki remembers something.

“!!! I forget to give you this.” Izuki said, as he takes something in his pocket.

“Here. Your magic stone.” Izuki said, as he hands the magic stone at Eichi.

“You get it back?!” Eichi asks.

“Yeah. I’m sorry, I forgot give it you.” Izuki said.

“No, problem. Actually, Isogai-kun keeps it since, I can’t keep it safe.” Eichi said.

“Eh? You sure? I thought your mother give this to you?” Izuki said.

“Yeah, but I know you will keep it safe.” Eichi said.

“… Is that so… Then I’ll keep this safe.” Izuki said, as he put it back inside his pocket.

“Hey, Izuki. That claymore of yours, its full of rust, lets go to the shop to fix it.” Subaru said, as he stands up.

“Ah… that’s right. Takamiya-san see you later.” Izuki said, as both of them went to the black smith.
