Carrot Town

The chapter start as Zakuya respond to Yume’ question.

“What with that question Yume?” Zakuya said while nervous.

“He’s right!” Furina said while slightly blushing.

“Hmm?” Yume said, as she tilt her head to the side, and she ask— “Why, is there something wrong with my question? I ask you, since you’re the only one who can I ask about this, and since this is the first time we ever wear a costume.” Yume said, while looking at Zakuya.

“Well… if you ask me… both of you are beautiful in your costume...” Zakuya said with nervous tone.

“What with that question ?” Furina said, as she walk beside Yume.

“Eh? I just—”

“We’re here to train, not to ask him who more beautiful in this costume.” Furina said while slightly blushing, then Yume look at Zakuya, and she ask— “Hey, what are we going to train for?”

“(So cold.) It’s about how you hold your weapon, and your fight stance.”

Zakuya process to train the two girls about their fighting stance and holding their weapon.

Meanwhile on the base of Yggdrasil, Tanaka gets a mission from Seto about investigating an abandoned town called town Carrot.

“Izuki-kun, Katsu-kun both of you are going with me.” Tanaka said while both of his hands are on the table looking at Izuki, and Katsu who were eating at the same time, but on a different table.

“Only them?” Mavis asks, as she leans over the table.

“Yeah, were just investigating that town, and nothing else.”

“Why not bring Koharu-chan together with you—” As Koharu hear her name, she look at Tanaka.

“— so in case there’s something happens she’s able to help you guys.” The girl that has a dark circles under her eye Miku said, while holding a tray of finished plates, and walking back to Mavis.

Realizing that Miku might be right.

“She’s right Koharu-chan come with us.” Tanaka said as he stand up looking at Koharu.

“Okay.” Koharu said while looking at Tanaka.

“With that settle you guys meet me outside, after you guys eat, and we’ll go there immediately.” Tanaka said, before turning around, and head outside.

Later Izuki, Koharu, and Katsu come out with their weapon, and costume, that were upgrade by Miku.

“You guys all good?” Tanaka ask.

Izuki, Koharu, and Katsu nods, and with that Tanaka teleport them to the abandoned town.

Tanaka, Izuki, Koharu, and Katsu teleport abit away from the abandoned town, in case of someone was there, they could avoid it. After teleporting Izuki, Koharu, and Katsu see the houses in the town was full of vines, then Tanaka immediately sense someone on the abandoned town.

“Izuki-kun, Katsu-kun, Koharu-chan let’s move immediately I sense someone in the abandoned town.” Tanaka said as he look to the abandoned town.

Izuki, and Koharu nods, and they run towards the abandoned town with their weapon drawn.

As they run, they jumped to the roof, and run where Tanaka sense the mana of the person.

“There, were close.” Tanaka said as he pointed where the person is.

When they got where they could see the person, but instead they see a guy picking up some flower.

“It’s just a guy.” Izuki said, as he lower his claymore.

“I’ll go talk to him, so we can proceed with our investigation.” Tanaka said as he gets down off the roof, and talk to the guy.

Tanaka talk to the guy for two minutes, then Izuki, Katsu, and Koharu sees the guy nods, and then bow before turning around and leave.

After that Tanaka yells at them to get down. Izuki, Katsu, and koharu goes down off the room, and then Tanaka tells them, that they can began to investigate the abandoned town, and so the investigation of the abandoned town began.

30 minutes later, after investigating for 30 minute, they don’t see anything. So Izuki went to Tanaka who was still investigating.

“So Tanaka-senpai, what happened here? Why did the people living here abandoned it?”

“Well, you see. The reason why the people in this town, is because of a frequent attack of monsters, and because this town is the farthest town in the kingdom. The Protector that was ask for help, was always late.” While Tanaka was talking Katsu, and Koharu come to them, and listen to the reason why the people abandoned the town.

“You may say that why don’t the protectors, stay here, well every time, a protector was in this town. A monster never attack even once.” Tanaka said.

“I think there’s a traitor in Protectors, not just in members, I think it was on the higher ups.” Izuki said, while looking at Tanaka.

“We did think the same, we think they want to keep the people away from this town, they can take something hidden here. But it’s been 1, and a half year, and there’s nothing happened.” Tanaka said, as he look back the house that has vines.

“We let it go, but we still think that there’s a traitor among the higher up. Anyway you guys sure there’s nothing suspicious in the town?” Tanaka said, as he look back at Izuki, Katsu, and Koharu.

“There’s nothing, we see suspicious.” Katsu said.

“Katsu… can you put a little respect when talking to our senpais?” Koharu said, while awkward tone as she look at Katsu.

“It’s okay, Koharu-chan I’m good with what he was doing. Anyway, if you guys doesn’t see anything suspicious, then we should report it back at Lead.” Tanaka said as he get his fist in his waist.

After that they walk out of the abandoned town, outside of the abandoned town, Tanaka start to cast the spell, he used earlier.

Izuki, Koharu, and Katsu look at Tanaka as he cast the spell.

*Pierced.*

“Hmm?”

“Argh…”

All of them wonder where the sound come from, when they look around, and they see a blood flow from someone’s mouth.

“KOHARU-SAN!!!” Izuki said, as they see a spear was pierced on her stomach.

“KOHARU-CHAN!!!” Tanaka said, as he see Koharu falls on the ground, but Izuki catch her with his arms.

“Koharu-san! Are you alright?” Izuki ask in worried tone. After Izuki asks Koharu the spear that was on Koharu’s stomach suddenly pulled out, by an unknown force.

Katsu watch as the spear was pulled out of Koharu’s stomach, and he watch where the spear was going, then the spear was catch by a guy who was on a hill.

“Koharu-san! Use your magic to heal yourself please!” Izuki said as he held Koharu on his hands.

“This is bad, I think Koharu-chan’s mana won’t be able to heal herself on that situation.” Tanaka said.

“Then teleport her back to the healer in the Kingdom.” Izuki said, as he look at Tanaka.

“Are you sure?! A senpai, like me shouldn’t leave you guys here.” Tanaka said.

“Hurry up, Tanaka-senpai. Before Koharu-san lose blood.” Izuki said, while looking at Tanaka.

Meanwhile Katsu see 3 guy appear behind of the guy who throw an spear on Koharu.

“Tsk! Izuki! Get up, leave Koharu to him! We have to fight them.” Katsu said, as an Iron liquid come out of the ground, and it come on his right hand.

After that they see the guy who was picking flowers earlier behind the guy who throw a spear on Koharu.

“That guy!!!” Izuki, and Tanaka said.

“Senpai, could you hurry up, so you could get back here more faster?” Katsu said with a pissed tone, while looking at the guys.

Then Katsu look at Koharu, who was looking at Katsu.

“I’m sorry.” Koharu said, while looking at Katsu, and while healing herself.

“No need to be sorry, we didn’t expect them.” Katsu said, as he look back at the bunch of men on the hills.

After that Tanaka touch Koharu, and then—

*Blink!*

The sound of Tanaka, and Koharu teleported away.

After that Izuki stand up, and get his claymore from his back, using his dominant hand, which is his left hand.

Meanwhile back on the base.

*Blink!*

Tanaka, and Koharu teleported back on the base, and there, they see Subaru together with Itsuki, who were about to go somewhere.

When Subaru, and Itsuki sees Tanaka, and Koharu.

“What happened?!” Subaru asks, while looking at Koharu.

Meanwhile Tanaka was catching up his breath.

“(This is bad, I accidentally used all of my mana, into an instant teleportation, I panicked!)” Tanaka said, while catching up his breath.

Seeing that Tanaka is exhausted, Subaru touch, Koharu who was still trying to heal herself, as an blood flow out of her body.

“Heal.”

Back at Izuki, and Katsu.

“Do you really think you guys will be alive that time that guy comes back?” The guy who throw the spear that Koharu said.

“I’m the one who should be asking that question.” Katsu said, as his iron liquid finish building up his weapon Spear.

Then Katsu swings his spear downward, while Izuki gets on his fighting stance. After that Izuki, and Katsu kicked their feet on the ground, dashing towards the guys.
