Chapter 31 The Call of the Pack

Sebastian and Adam drove back to the pack’s territory, their shoulders slumped with defeat as they faced the reality of returning empty-handed once again. Despite their tireless efforts and unwavering determination, they had been unable to find any trace of Enora.

“How are we going to tell Lucas?”, Adam asked. Sebastian didn’t know either. He just hoped that Lucas had been more successful over the past few days. He knew he had given Lucas a task that was nearly impossible, so he just prayed that Lucas had managed.

Meanwhile, Lucas was packing up the props he had used for the fight training in the clearing. He had to give it to the few that showed up. They were determined to keep getting better. And Lucas could see that they would be good fighters at some point in time. He just hoped that it would be soon enough and that the group would be large enough to make a dent to the enemy’s lines.
