“I’m worried about Enora, Elio.”, Leonora said, her voice tinged with concern. “She has been through so much lately, and now this… what if something happened to her? What if the humans get to her?”

Elio sighed softly, swirling the liquid in his glass and his brow furrowing in thought. “I know Leonora. But what can we do? There is no denying the mate bond, you know that.”, he replied, his voice filled with frustration.

“Elio, I think we must tell Enora what she is.”, Leonora stated firmly, even though she was unsure. The topic had been weighing heavily on her mind for some time now. Elio shook his head determinedly.

“You know we cannot do that! The Oracle forbade us to do so!”, he said decisively, and took a sip from his drink.

“So what is the Oracle going to do if we do it anyway?”, Leonora said. She wanted to defy orders to make her daughter feel good again. It pained her to see Enora doubting herself.

Elio looked up in surprise to his wife. “You know that it might screw up the prophecy.”, he said in minor shock. Leonora took his hands into hers.

“We don’t even know for sure that the prophecy is about Enora.”, Leonora exclaimed in frustration. “It said ‘old enemies must unite’. I mean, Enora was brought up so far outside of these communities, what enemies could she possibly encounter? “

As Adam rushed towards the houses in the pack together with Mia, his mind raced with the urgency of the situation. He knew they needed to warn the pack members about the contaminated water, and every second counted. Mia was already ahead of him, her pace determined as she headed towards the nearest house. “Adam, we need to move fast.”, Mia said, her voice tense with urgency as they reached the first house. “We don’t know how many people have already used the water.” 


Adam nodded, his heart pounding in his chest as they knocked on the door. A few moments later, it swung open, revealing a startled pack member. “Is everything alright?”, the man asked, confusion evident in his voice. 


Adam didn’t waste any time. “There’s wolfsbane in the water.”, he said, his tone urgent. “Don’t use it for anything. We’re going to warn the rest of the pack.”
