CHAPTER 11

"MOMMY, are you and daddy fighting?" Lene asked me when we ate breakfast. And of course I was awake because the crazy person didn't even stop me last night, it would have been nice if I was awake but I wasn't! I'm still lame in my stuttering walk.

You really are an animal, Brian!

"No baby, why?" I asked and took a bite of fried rice and ham. Lene was now sitting in front of me while Brian was at the head of the table, and I was on his right.

"Because I healed you last night shouting. You said 'ohh—ahh, my gosh!'" she said and I blew out what I was chewing on my food because of the shock and coughed because I felt like I was out of breath.

"Here" Brian handed me some water which I immediately drank. When it was over I looked at Lene who was looking at me INNOCENTLY! Gosh, that's just how I growled last night!

O earth, swallow me up and never return me.

But my attention was focused on Brian and the mook looked at him with a laugh.

"Why daddy?" Lene asked her father.
