Momma's Surprise Visit

Nora was snoozing away like she was in some kinda deep, dreamless sleep when her phone started ringing. She groggily answered it, not even checkin' to see who it was. Turned out, it was her momma on the other line. "Nora, baby!" her momma exclaimed, her voice as sweet as honey. "I'm coming to visit you today! Now, I need you to send me that address of yours, be fast Ain't got all day!"

Nora's body went from horizontal to vertical so fast, you'd think someone flipped a switch. Her eyes were wide now, her brain running a million miles a minute, trying to process this little surprise from her momma.

"Today?" Nora groaned, the idea of her momma showing up at her doorstep already sendin' her heart rate through the roof. "Why now of all times?" she muttered, her thoughts racing as she tried to figure out what to do.

"Baby, I know you think I'm always trying to cramp your style," Nora's momma said, her voice soft like butter. "But if you just let me see you and your boyfriend today, I won't bother ya no more."

Nora let out a big ol' groan, her body slumpin' against the bed like she'd just been hit with a ton of bricks. She just wanted this whole thing to be over with. So, with a sigh as heavy as her heart, she agreed to text her momma the address. As soon as the call ended, she shot off a quick text with the address, her fingers flying over the keys like she was trying to race a cheetah.

She stared at the screen for a minute, her mind racing. Her momma was on her way, and she didn't know what to do.

She jumped outta bed like a cat with its tail on fire. She knew she had to convince Alex to play along with this little ruse, but he wasn't exactly enthused the last time she asked him.

Nora didn't have time to waste. She marched out of her room like she was on a mission from God.Nora, her hand balled into a tight fist, rapped on Alex's door twice. The sound echoed through the house, a dull, determined thud that demanded attention.

Alex, his dreams still clinging to him like spider webs, pulled himself out of bed. His feet shuffled sleepily across the floor, his hand reaching out to open the door. "Nora?" he mumbled, his words heavy with drowsiness. Her face a picture of urgent concern, stepped forward, her voice firm. "We need to talk. Now."

Alex, still sleepy but sensing the importance of her words, gestured for her to come in. "Alright," he said, his voice gravelly with the remnants of sleep. "What's going on?" Nora paced inside Alex's room, She took a deep breath, her voice trembling with the weight of her confession.

"My mom is on her way here," she said, her words spilling out like water from a broken dam.

Alex's eyes widened, his expression suddenly alert. "And why is that my problem?" he asked, his voice sharp as a razor.

"Because," Nora said, her words tumbling out in a rush, "You're supposed to act as my boyfriend."

Alex's hand slammed into his face with a resounding smack. "I can't do it," he groaned, his voice muffled by his palm.

Nora, her eyes pleading, stepped closer to him, her hands reaching out to grasp his arms. "Please, Alex. I know I'm asking a lot, but my momma's already on her way. If you just play along for today, it'll be all over with. Please."

Alex, his hand still pressed against his forehead, shook his head. "Okay fine" he muttered.

Alex stood rigid, his body a statue of tension, as Nora leapt into his arms, her embrace a whirlwind of relief and gratitude.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" she exclaimed, her voice a cascade of gratitude.

Alex's arms hung awkwardly at his sides, his body stiff as a board. "Alright, alright," he mumbled, his voice a mixture of irritation and resignation. "What do I need to do?"

Nora, her face beaming with relief, released him from her grip.

Nora's smile was a beam of sunshine in a cloudy sky, her body practically vibrating with excitement. "Okay, so you just need to act like we're a couple," she said, her voice bright with enthusiasm. "Just a few hugs, maybe hold my hand, and pretend to be in love with me for the day."

Alex rolled his eyes, his expression a sarcastic mask of disbelief. "Oh, is that all?" he deadpanned, his tone dripping with sarcasm.

Nora's expression hardened, her patience fraying around the edges. "Look, I know this isn't ideal, but it's just for today. Can you do that for me?"

Alex sighed, his shoulders slumping in reluctant agreement. "Fine. I'll do it. But don't ask me to do this again," he said, his voice resigned.

Nora's smile returned, this time with a victorious gleam in her eye.

Nora, her expression still alight with gratitude, turned on her heel, her hand reaching out to grasp the door handle.

Alex, his gaze fixed on the curve of her hips, the swell of her breasts beneath the thin fabric of her top, felt a bolt of electricity shoot through his veins. His eyes snapped up to her face, his mind suddenly struggling to focus, this was the first time he was seeing her on something so short and tight.

"Right," he said, his voice low and hoarse. "I'll, uh, get ready."

Nora's cheeks exploded with color, a crimson blush painting her face like a neon sign. Her mouth gaped open, her eyes wide with embarrassment. She spun on her heel and sprinted out of Alex's room, her legs carrying her like she was running from a burning building.

Alex stood there, frozen in place, his mind spinning like a top, his body flooded with a thousand unspoken thoughts. She burst into her room, slamming the door behind her. Without hesitation, she dove onto her bed, her arms wrapping around her pillow like it was a life preserver in a sea of embarrassment. She screamed into it, her voice muffled by the fabric, her words a garbled mess of frustration.

"Thanks, mom!" she growled, her anger an eruption of lava. "This is all your fault!"

She flopped onto the bed, her body a limp ragdoll of irritation and embarrassment.
