Part 39. Happy News

The day passed, and Ruby and Shane woke up with smiles on their faces. They both looked at each other, Ruby pecking her husband's lips. "Morning, husband," Ruby greeted with a smile.

"Good morning, wife," Shane said and kissed his wife's lips.

It wasn't a quick peck but a long and deep one before it finally slipped away as Ruby pushed his shoulder. "Still not satisfied with last night? We've been at it from day to night, honey. We need to clean up and eat," Ruby said in a soft tone of voice with one hand rubbing her husband's cheek.

Shane smiled and got out of bed. He carried his wife's body to the bathroom. "Let's take a shower together," Shane said and turned on the shower as he lowered his wife from his arms right under the shower.

They did shower together, as Ruby kept her husband from doing more. Finished with the business of cleaning her body, they had breakfast. Shane had prepared breakfast for them. The smile did not fade from Shane's lips at all. Moreover, the memory of how they spent time adoring each other, every touch of his partner's body, makes Shane's smile even bigger.

This is very different from Shane, who does not remember what happened to him when he was with Arthur. The only thing he remembers with Arthur is him finally sighing and enjoying Arthur's touch. After that, he really doesn't remember what happened to him at all. Even until he woke up sleeping next to Shane, he didn't remember when they finished their bedtime activities.

In contrast to Ruby, she remembers everything, right down to the last thing they did at the pool, which ended up with them returning to the room with Shane's mr.p still inside her warm hole. 

Shane had finished making breakfast. He only made meat sandwiches, and he also made apple juice mixed with carrots. Serving her breakfast at the dining table. 

"Thank you," Ruby said when Shane placed his breakfast in front of her.

Shane smiled and kissed his wife's lips. He sat down and enjoyed her breakfast. "Don't you have anything scheduled today?" asked Shane.

"I'm not feeling well, so some of my schedules have been postponed and moved to next week altogether. So for this week, I'll be at home," Ruby replied.

"Did you go to the hospital?" asked Shane, whose face had turned into a worried expression.

"How can I go to the hospital if my husband suddenly disappears? When I called and looked for him, he wasn't there," Ruby replied.

Shane was speechless at his wife's words, his memory brought back to the moment before he arrived at Arthur's house. He remembers how he was avoiding someone who carved him up. Although he himself did not know for sure who exactly was following him. Either Arthur or Arthur's men were following him. He who felt as long as Arthur suddenly felt sleepy, he fell asleep because he could not resist his sleepiness until he woke up. He was already in the room he hadn't been in for about five years.

Shane now looked at Ruby. "Sorry," Shane said as he took one of his wife's hands to hold.

Ruby smiled and returned her husband's one-handed grip. "The most important thing is that you're here," Ruby said.

"After this, we'll go to the hospital, okay? Let's get you checked out," Shane said without replying to Ruby. He couldn't explain everything to his wife, so it was better to divert to other things.

"Yes," Ruby replied with a smile.

They continued their breakfast. After breakfast, they prepared to go to the hospital to check on Ruby's condition. They had already made an appointment with Ruby's family doctor, so they didn't have to wait long in the waiting room. 

"Afternoon, doctor," Ruby greeted with a smile.

"Afternoon, Ruby, have a seat," doctor Micko said, smiling and greeting Ruby.

Ruby and Shane sat on the chairs in front of Doctor Micko's desk. "So, who's sick?" asked Doctor Micko.

"Me, doc," Ruby replied.

"What are you feeling?" asked Doctor Micko.

"I've been feeling tired lately, I've also been feeling a lot of morning sickness, actually. But I still force myself to eat breakfast. Even though I end up spitting out all the food. Other than that, I've been feeling scared a lot lately," Ruby said.

Shane had been staring at the doctor, but when his wife said she vomited up all her food, Shane immediately looked at his wife in shock. He was at home, but why didn't he know she had vomited? Maybe when his wife said she wanted to poop, that's when she vomited.

"When was your last period?" Doctor Micko asked, thinking Ruby's pain was a symptom of pregnancy.

"Three weeks ago," Shane replied, making the doctor look at him.

The doctor smiled and called for the nurse. "You come with the nurse, Ruby," Doctor Micko said, and Ruby complied.

Ruby left the room with the nurse, now it was just Doctor Micko and Shane. Doctor Micko noticed that Shane looked unusual. Shane looked pale, his neck also looked blue, although not entirely. "Don't you want to be examined?" asked Doctor Micko.

Shane frowned, he didn't feel sick. He was here because he wanted to deliver his wife, not for himself. "I'm only here to accompany my wife. I'm fine, doctor," Shane replied.

"You look very pale, and your neck is also very blue. Granted, that might be the residue from your lovemaking with Ruby. But this is different, like it's not from sex," the doctor says, making Shane reflexively cover his neck with both hands.

"Don't you want me to check?" the doctor asked again.

"No need, doctor, I'm fine," Shane replied with his hands still covering his neck.

There was no more conversation until Ruby returned. The doctor received the results brought by the nurse. He looked at the results and smiled at Ruby and Shane.

"Congratulations, Ruby is pregnant," Doctor Micko said, looking at Ruby and Shane in turn.

"What doctor, am I pregnant?" asked a shocked Ruby.

Shane looked at his wife and took her into his arms. "Thank you, baby. Thank you," said Shane as he hugged his wife tightly. Ruby no less hugged her husband tightly as she smiled, but her eyes welled up with tears because she was too moved by all this news.

After they were done with their euphoria, they looked back at the doctor. "I will recommend a gynecologist for you," Doctor Micko said as he looked at Ruby.

"From here, you can go straight to his room. The nurse will accompany you there," Doctor Micko said again.

"For medicines and all that, you can consult Dr. Marko, Ruby. I'm just directing you to go there," Doctor Micko said again.

"Yes, doctor," Ruby replied.

Ruby and Shane stood up from their seats and excused themselves. One of the nurses was assigned by Dr. Micko to take Ruby and Shane to Dr. Marko's office. Also, Ruby and Shane had to register first.
