At any other time, Mingshu might have been able to keep up the pretense with him, but the sharp pain in her back was disturbing and distracting, and Mingshu simply couldn't hold it in any longer. She scowled and said mockingly, "Did elder brother come here especially to see me made a fool of? If so, you should be satisfied by now, right?"
Her displeasure was evident in her tone for anyone to hear, and Ji Jing's eyebrows lifted slightly, a hint of amusement in his eyes.
It might have been the first time he saw her let down her guard in front of him, exposing her emotions fully.
This desperate, cornered look was indeed much more pleasing than her previously feigned flattery.
With a trace of a smile on his lips, Ji Jing, unusually unperturbed, said with a leisurely tone, "Silly little sister, do you think your elder brother has as much free time as you do?"
Mingshu choked, her back molars itching with frustration.
Somebody please come and drag this idiot out!
