Mingshu watched as the person entered through the door. Despite her attempts to appear calm, there was an inevitable hint of nervousness that leaked from the depths of her eyes.
She suddenly had a guess about Ah Yao's purpose for coming and spoke with a calm demeanor and a gentle tone, "It's cold outside, don't stand at the door. Come in and take a seat." She turned her head to glance at Yun Zhi, "Pour a cup of hot tea for Miss Ah Yao."
Yun Zhi pursed her lips and turned to get the teapot.
Mingshu's gentle and composed attitude greatly eased the anxiety in Ah Yao's heart, and her expression involuntarily relaxed. She walked over to the seat Mingshu had indicated, gracefully gathered her skirts, and slowly sat down.
Yun Zhi handed her the poured tea. Ah Yao accepted it with a touch of restraint, softly thanking her with a "Thank you," and as she raised her head, she met Mingshu's eyes, which held a faint smile.
