At that moment, Han Yu found himself amidst a misty fairy fog. He had no idea how much time had passed before he slowly opened his eyes to see a towering mountain that reached into the clouds, its peak invisible.
He gazed upward in a daze, his eyes moving from the fairy fog to the rock face.
There, carved into the stone, were tadpole-like figures.
As he watched, the tadpoles seemed to come to life, leaping out from the stone wall and dancing joyfully in the air.
Han Yu felt a moment of dazzlement, and his body grew increasingly agitated.
Suddenly!
A burning sensation pierced his back sharply. He turned around to find a small tadpole had, at some point, landed on his back.
"What... What is this thing?"
He reached back to grab it, but with one leap, the tadpole turned into a ray of golden light and disappeared.
Soon, Han Yu realized something was wrong. Rather than his back feeling intensely hot, there seemed to be a fire burning below his belly, consuming him entirely.
"Ah!"
