...
Dusk had fallen.
Zhou Yang drove his black BMW SUV to a quiet section in the bustling city center. An inconspicuous sign flickered with the words 'Night Charm Bar.' Luxury cars were parked at the entrance, but no one was to be seen.
From the outside, it didn't look like a noisy, clanging bar; it seemed like a good place for secret meetings.
Zhou Yang got out of the car and walked toward the entrance.
The waiter bowed and said, "May I ask, sir, do you have a membership?"
Zhou Yang sized up the waiter. Although he was dressed in work attire similar to a tailcoat and had a warm smile, Zhou Yang still sharply sensed that this guy was no ordinary person and, more precisely, didn't look like a good sort.
"If I don't have a membership, I can't enter?" Zhou Yang asked.
"Night Charm Bar is a membership-only establishment. We refuse entry to non-members," the waiter replied.
Zhou Yang said uncompromisingly, "What if I must go in?"
