Chapter 54: Get down to business, have fun

After returning from the Embassy, Durin got out of the car with Melinda.

Upon reaching the entrance, Durin found new mail in the mailbox, presumably delivered while he was at the Embassy.

The letter was from Xialu, who said she would be able to come to Copenhagen in a week and mentioned a small skill she had learned in the Druid Forest.

Durin felt a bit of happiness; he was glad Xialu could come, after all, living alone in the small building was quite lonely—having Xialu, the little cat, for company was nice.

Thinking this, Durin turned his head and saw Kelsey approaching with small, quick steps. Durin stroked Kelsey and brought his own lynx home.

Melinda walked toward her little building after saying goodbye to Durin.

And as Durin walked up the steps to his home, he noticed the girl lying on a lounge chair under the awning outside the door.

She was sound asleep, but seemed to be feeling cold, so she was covered with a blanket and curled up.
