Chapter 36: The Turnaround

Higgins had few friends in the Eastern Elven Territory, Durin was one, but apart from Durin, he really hadn't met anyone.

Karina should have had many, but unfortunately, she chose to marry Higgins, and thus everything was simplified. In order to conceal their identities, she would become a mentor at some academy in Lublin, just like Lady Marian.

Perhaps one day in the future, they would have children, but that was a matter for later.

Thinking of this, Durin sighed deeply in his heart.

"Do you pity them?"

Eleven asked.

"Definitely, Durin ah, even though he's an old thing that kills without batting an eye, the bit of compassion at the bottom of his heart never changes."

Big Orange sighed.

Durin said nothing, just smiling as he watched the newlyweds observing each other in the mirror.

At that time, Lady Marian came over, indicating with her eyes for Durin to step out with her.

Durin followed her out.
