Chapter 173: Trap

Located in the fortress, with no forms of entertainment, the green-skinned orcs outside the city were destined to freeze today; Durin did not want to go out and start fires again—forcing the green-skinned orcs into a panicked siege would overwhelm even his ability to defend.

Thus, what Durin could do was to take his own little dragon to patrol the city walls.

Starting from the small high tower he was in, Durin walked clockwise along the city walls. There was a snowstorm tonight, but because they had been ambushed in the morning, the sentinels and patrol team did not slack off and hide to warm themselves by the fire.

Upon seeing Durin, the soldiers hurriedly saluted, and Durin gestured for them to continue, then he walked into the first room under the bed crossbow platform.

Just as Durin had thought, a journalist was sitting at the table writing a letter on behalf of someone, while a soldier sat opposite him, talking about his longing for his family.
