Half-step Purgatory

Durin stroked the black cat on the armrest of his chair, sitting on the black leather sofa. Through the glasses perched on his nose, his gaze passed over the long table in front of him and settled on the man kneeling on the carpet:

Outside the Circle of Truth, old Enrique sat on a bench, the elderly man in a trench coat watching the children from nearby academies walking by in groups.


Liz came and sat down next to him, "The Great Elder has sent news, it has been confirmed that the Wealth Goddess Church refuses to pay out all the profits earned by the groups under Durin's name from the exchange and is preparing to return the money to all the debtors."
