Chapter 289: Difficulty

Weston District was in complete disarray.

Durin entered in his Lich form, accompanied by Lord Bishop from the Church of Suffering. Although the followers of the Church didn't recognize Durin, they definitely recognized the old bishop. Noticing that this Lich, with pure white Soul Fire in his eye sockets and wearing the Double Mother Goddess Golden Laurel Leaf Crown while carrying a short sword similar to No-name's by his waist, was Durin Alsh, they immediately dropped their guard against him.

As he walked, Durin shook his head at the sight of bodies being incinerated in a small roadside garden.

The industrial revolution led to a population explosion in the cities, with appalling sanitary conditions in slums. Coupled with the possible interference of the Evil God, trouble was bound to arise.

Big Orange sighed at the sight — burning bodies was quite common in this world, which perhaps explained why the situation in the Weston District wasn't as bad as Durin had anticipated.
