Half-step Purgatory

Durin stroked the black cat on the armrest of his chair, sitting on the black leather sofa. Through the glasses perched on his nose, his gaze passed over the long table in front of him and settled on the man kneeling on the carpet:
"I understand, you've made money in Naples, your business has been very successful, and you've led a happy life. You've had those secret police, friends in both the law and the underground, and even the Royal Family speaking on your behalf."
"You don't need a friend like me, I know that. You're afraid of owing me a favor, and you don't want to get involved in troubles."
"But now you come to me and say, 'I beg you, Mr. Durin of the Corleon family, please help me seek justice, so that my life and my family will not suffer and sink into despair.'

Durin's Diary

Durin couldn't make out the appearance of the insect, but Eleven and Big Orange saw it clearly; they documented the look of the large insect—it was akin to a termite with mandibles massive in the eyes of the Grassland Elves.


But the reason it's an insect is that it has no brain. After an unsuccessful attack, while Durin was still circling, it poked its body out again ready to strike, only to be hit by Durin's Lightning Spell Formula the next second.


The insect's abdomen burst open and then it fell face-first onto the ground, which it had dug into sludge.


After scanning with a Spell Formula to confirm there were no more of its kind underground, Durin and his group descended.


Ulyula approached with great curiosity, knocked on the insect's shell, and used a Dagger drawn from inside his boot to poke at the insect's compound eyes, "It seems quite hard; there's even a shell covering the eyes."
