Roger's face changed slightly.
"Has it discovered me?"
He felt a tinge of strangeness within him, as the straight-line distance between them was exceedingly great, and he had been standing obediently in place, making not the slightest noise.
However, while he thought this, Roger didn't stop moving his feet. The creature before him clearly wasn't easy to deal with, and there were a bunch of people standing around; Betty's strength was unknown.
But that middle-aged woman…
Roger quickly retreated backward.
It was better not to wade into these murky waters so easily; it was the sort of thing that should be reported to Henrik, to save that guy from always focusing his energy on the wrong things.
"Roar!"
The branches and vines friction, surprisingly producing a growl similar to that of a wild beast.
This thing obviously wasn't shooting in the dark; its huge body moved forward, actually rushing toward the direction Roger had been departing.
