Chapter 354 Candy House

Deep into the night, the whole town was eerily quiet.

John was pushing a wooden cart, which he thought securely tied up Roger, then circumnavigated the deserted streets by a large detour, urged on by the woman's voice, leaving the town.

Some dim streetlights still lit the main street of the town, but upon leaving the town for the forest, everything became pitch-black and silent.

Distant wolf howls reached their ears, causing John to shiver uncontrollably several times, almost tipping the cart and dropping Roger off.

Rodger lay on the cart, bound by hemp ropes and the journey was everything but comfortable for him; the wooden planks pressed against his bones, and he had to endure John's terrible driving skills.

"Are we there yet? Why haven't we arrived?"

The woman beside him had already lost her soul from the scare a while back. Now, glancing toward the woods, she felt as though some monster lurked in the darkness.

"Soon, we should be there soon!"
