In Everworld, it was night, but here in Baytown, it was broad daylight; Roger walked straight out of the woods and hurried to Adeline's home.
Baytown was near the ocean, and even as December drew to a close, the climate was relatively pleasant; Roger walked along the roadside, occasionally passed by vehicles.
However, compared to when he first arrived, there had been significant changes to both his demeanor and his appearance; the locals would have probably forgotten the boy who once stayed with Adeline's family.
Only a very few might still remember him.
Walking into the small town.
The shops on both sides were decked out in bright lights, colorful lanterns and festoons, and Christmas trees placed at the doorsteps; it was only then that Roger realized that almost a year had passed since his Advent to this world.
"Christmas."
