Chapter 20: Metamorphosis

"Meow~" The Little White Cat in the mother cat's arms had big eyes, staring at Huang Yi and calling out happily, with a milky voice, as if to cheer him on.

Huang Yi swept over the three wolves with a calm gaze, took a moment to check his Energy Value, and found he had 2999 points left. Less than a minute had passed, and he had already used up one point of Energy Value, which took an extremely long time to recover; it couldn't be wasted, and a swift and decisive battle was necessary.

Huang Yi no longer waited and began his attack on the most severely injured wolf!

The wolf leaped to the right, trying to dodge Huang Yi's attack, but Huang Yi had already anticipated this move and had preemptively rushed to its intended area of evasion, his claws fiercely leaving a long wound on the wolf's belly…

In this way, Huang Yi fought the three wolves with ease, thanks to his ability to foresee their moves. He was able to accurately dodge each attack from the wolves and land precise blows on them. His agile figure moved through the night sky with fluid grace, as if dancing with the wolves, leaving a deep impression in the minds of the mother cat and the Little White Cat.

Ten minutes later, the last wolf was killed!

Huang Yi, stepping on the moonlight, returned slowly, clean and unscathed, as if he had just taken a leisurely stroll.

"Meow~" Little White Cat's big eyes twinkled as she called out happily, wriggled out of her mother's embrace, and clumsily climbed in front of Huang Yi. She extended her little paw and tightly hugged his neck, her tender little tongue affectionately licking him. Huang Yi closed his eyes, enjoying his sister's affection.

Long, long ago, there had also been a girl who cuddled him affectionately like this.

"Hiss!" Just then, another beastly sound came from the underbrush, and a cheetah flashed out, its eyes fixed menacingly on the Little White Cat.

Huang Yi shook his head and went out to meet the battle once again.

This night was filled with slaughter. Little White Cat had just been born, and her immature scent in this dark night was like a beacon, attracting wave after wave of wild beasts. Among them were even several fierce tigers, enemies that the Spirit Cat couldn't normally contend with, but under Huang Yi's powerful Eye of Time, they too could only die in bitterness.

Gradually, the area around Huang Yi piled up with various corpses, and his fur was dyed crimson with their blood.

Under his protection, both the mother cat and the Little White Cat were safe and sound. He was like the strongest wall in the world, impenetrable!

The day gradually brightened, sunlight streaked from billions of miles away, sweeping across the land, across the forest, casting down strands of golden light, beautiful beyond compare. The perilous night had finally passed, and what followed was a rare peace.

The mother cat had worried all night and was already exhausted. She held the Little White Cat and fell into a deep sleep, the two pretty cats looking like two angels in the forest.

Huang Yi looked at their sleeping figures, letting out a long breath, finally feeling relieved, now they were safe.

Huang Yi stuck out his tongue and gently licked them, then immediately logged off.

Today was the day he was transferred to the public prison.

Opening his eyes, Huang Yi returned to the real world. The cell was engulfed in darkness, the only small window devoid of light. Through the window, the world outside was overcast, the sky heavy with black clouds, and the occasional sound of lightning suggested rain was imminent.

Huang Yi removed the Golden Ring and carefully hid it close to his body; it was his greatest secret!

Others were destined to spend their lifetimes locked up here without even a book or magazine to relieve the monotony of their existence. But with this ring, he could wander in The Second World and continue to lead his organization to glory. The ring was something that must never be discovered; if it were to be exposed, then his future would be utterly doomed.

"Tap! Tap! Tap!" At that moment, footstep sounds approached from outside the door. The footsteps were filled with tension and caution, and while they sounded somewhat different from usual, Huang Yi knew at once that these were prison guards.

"Huang Yi, your solitary confinement has ended! Next, you will be transferred to the common cell," a guard's voice soon came from outside the door, followed by the iron door shaking and slowly opening.

The door had not been opened for a very long time; since Huang Yi had been locked up, it had never opened again.

Huang Yi stood up and slowly emerged from the darkness, his hazy figure gradually becoming clear.

Outside the iron door stood two fully armed guards, who had donned an unusual set of white clothing specifically for today. This clothing, called electric clothing, was charged with high voltage electricity, ready to stun any prisoner who attempted an attack with a shock. Their heads were enclosed in transparent helmets, resembling glass encasements, protecting their heads securely, made of a material so strong not even bullets could penetrate it.

Within those transparent helmets were pairs of watchful eyes, eyes that fixated on Huang Yi with a mix of fear and unease. Despite wearing the electric clothing, they felt no semblance of safety. Beino Kang, the Chairman of the World Federation, had been assassinated under heavy protection by Huang Yi, so these ordinary guards found it difficult to remain composed in his presence.

Finally, Huang Yi stepped out, experiencing the outside of his cell for the first time, and was immediately enveloped by a long-lost sense of freedom. Although he was still within Rose Prison, unable to escape, at least he was no longer confined to that desolate and dark cell.

"Let's go," Huang Yi said, glancing at the two fully armed guards with a tone that suggested he was in charge, as though he was the guard and they were the prisoners.

The two guards promptly stepped forward to lead the way.

As the trio passed by the doors of other cells housing inmates in solitary confinement, those inmates enviously watched Huang Yi.

Rose Prison was massive, housing thousands of criminals and divided into different areas. Huang Yi's cell was in the solitary confinement section, where all cells were isolated, and inmates had no one to talk to, enduring an incredibly dull existence.

The common cells were different; prisoners could move within certain designated areas of Rose Prison and were not limited to the confines of a small cell, allowing them to communicate with each other.

And now, Huang Yi was about to be moved to the coveted common cell!
