They looked at each other.
"Miss?" Aunt Yang continued to knock.
Nan Mufeng and Jian Xi reluctantly gave up, "Okay, I'm getting up now."
"Mmm."
Aunt Yang finally left. However, Nan Mufeng and Jian Xi were no longer in the mood, automatically parting ways, dressing and tidying up in silence and with great speed.
Five minutes later, they were both ready. It was only then that they looked at each other and shared a bitter smile.
"There will be other days, many days ahead..."
Downstairs, Aunt Yang had already prepared the car keys. Seeing them coming down together, she was startled, "Young Master Nan, you're at home?"
"Yeah."
"Then why couldn't I find you?" Aunt Yang asked, puzzled. She had knocked on all the guest rooms and had pushed the doors open, but hadn't seen Nan Mufeng at all!
Nan Mufeng and Jian Xi exchanged a look, both feeling awkward. Nan Mufeng asked, "What happened to my grandfather?"
