Old Master Nan was taken aback before reaching for his cellphone to call Nan Tian.
Seeing that he was serious, Yu Ling stopped him, "Dad, forget it. I'm fine."
"No, I have to call that ungrateful son and ask him what exactly is going on!" Old Master Nan roared angrily, blaming everything on Nan Tian.
"Dad," Yu Ling sighed, "I don't want to see him right now, so please don't call."
"You…" Old Master Nan looked at Yu Ling with a complex expression but ultimately respected her wishes and put away his phone.
"Dad, for over twenty years, I haven't had the chance to properly take care of you. And now, there won't be another chance either," Yu Ling said resolutely, turning her head away. "Stay for a couple of days, then you should go back home!"
Moving too abruptly, the wound on her shoulder ached again. She clenched her teeth and silently swallowed the pain.
