young Hazel (IV)

Years passed and the little baby that was brought to the Macmillan household had grown into a lonely little seven years old girl. As she grew she faced different type of bullying and nobody ever said anything about it including the man she called father, she was a smart and brilliant little girl and members of the household made sure they used her to their satisfaction to help their own children appear brilliant in front of other students, she was threatened not to do her own school works after she had helped the other children in the family and the only time she ignored the threat, she was accused of copying from her cousins and she was punished in front of the whole class, everybody in the family always looked at her with dissatisfaction and disappointement, she had no friends, nobody wanted to make friends with a maids daughter like the children in the family call her, she had no idea of her birth date because no one told her and her birthday was never remembered or celebrated, she never got her own toys or dolls and those old once were preferably thrown away than given to her, she wore old, oversized and worn out clothes of the kids in the family and she hardly ate a three square meal, sometimes she wouldn't be given food at all, some times she would be asked to work before being given food, sometimes she ate the leftovers the maids managed to give her, sometimes she rushed after meals with the slaves, she always looked so dirty and unkempt and she was never allowed to sit with other members of the family, only madam Elizabeth would try to clean her up sometimes if her stench was becoming unbearable, she was never introduced as a member of the Macmillan family, she lived a very sad and pitiful life till she aged seven when a letter was sent to the Macmillan family from madam Rebecca.

"Dear Macmillan fools

I am getting married to the Duke of Luther city on the twenty fourth of next month and I hope you all come, including Victor, that idiot I once liked.

Well this letter is to break to you that, that baby I brought to your villa seven years ago isn't a Victor's child or a member of the Macmillan family, I found the child abandoned in the bushes and I cleaned her up and brought her to you hoping to get into your family but you people were just too cruel, I don't care what you do with her, I have told you who she is. Also I want you to tell Victor that Sarah never betrayed him and I caused everything that happened, it was fun though, see y'all" was the content of the letter, it was read to every member of the family and they began their angry murmurs, after a long debate it was agreed that the young Hazel should be thrown out of the house with nothing, as young as she was she understood what was going on and she pleaded with tears running out of her eyes to be allowed to stay but nobody granted her audience.

Young Hazel began her life on the streets of Echmen city, working in anywhere she could work with the littlest pay a person could think of, a pay that could not buy her water, she begged from any wealthy looking person with other poor children on the street, and all the money she ever gained was always spent on food, she slept anywhere the night met her even when she fell sick she would still try to work at least for drugs.

At the age of ten, she was already used to the struggles on the streets Echmen city and the elite class lack of pity for the poot she became popular for how hard she worked and yet she had no money and almost every middle class and lower class member of the city knew her, she learned to defend her self from those street bullies who would try to take her money and she became fierce. At the age of eleven she was taken to Samion city by the owner of one of the shops she worked to work as a maid for her wealthy and pregnant city, in the house she met an older girl, with the name Sandra, the wealthy woman paid little too but it was enough for some little things and she fed Hazel and the girl Sandra, the longer Hazel stayed in the house the more she discovered how rich Sandra was, she became confused, she knew Sandra didn't save her wages because she would spend all of them on snacks. Until one night, she caught a figure dressed in all black sneaking into the house, the figure strolled to the kitchen to get water and when she removed her viel behold was Sandra, "Sandra!" she had exclaimed in shock and the latter stuffed her mouth with butter to keep her shut, that night Sandra revealed her proffesion, she claimed she was ill and was going to die soon and she stole valuables from the rich, sold her items in auction houses or to merchants and she kept the money to give to her poor mother in case she dies, she saw the glow in Hazel's eyes and she taught her the way of her job, she taught her how to fight and how to be vigilant. She claimed her father taught her because he wanted her to be a warrior just like he was but the war ate him and her mother disapproved her being a warrior in other not to lose her. She taught Hazel how to hide and move with the shadows and she taught her how to grab things without being noticed, she taught what was wrong but she was Hazel's only friend and best teacher.

At age fourteen, Hazel and Sandra were dismissed from their job, their boss claimed they were lazy and they only ate her food, Sandra split her wealth into two, one a little more than the other, she gave the small one to Hazel to find a better life and she gave the other part to her mother and not long she died then Hazel left Samion city to Guttric city, because of the claims people carried about how wealthy and rich the city was, but Guttric city was just like the other cities where the rich ignored the poor and left them to suffer, she decided to settle in

Guttric city and she began a new life, stealing valuables from the rich to help the poor.
