Chapter 14: Molly, a Child Who Couldn't Get Any Candy

Across the table, Molly's face was full of shock: "What? Leo actually allowed this lady to stay in his room?" Uncle Qian nodded lightly, confirming this fact: "The young master indeed instructed me to do so."

"How is that possible? Leo never allows anyone to enter his private space, not even me," Molly rebutted emotionally.

Uncle Qian, at a loss for words, could only silently step aside, maintaining his silence.

Molly's anger made her lose her reasoning. She circled around the long table, confronting Sophia, and asked with a raging tone: "What method did you use to make Leo agree to you staying in his room? Did you seduce him, or use some disgraceful means?"

Recalling how this lady could puncture her car tire from afar with a small dart, and switched her coffee right under her eyes, Molly was even more convinced that she had used unfair means to bewitch Leo.

Facing the humiliation of last night, something Sophia had never experienced before, the accumulating anger inside her, along with Molly's unfounded accusations, almost threw her calmness as an international detective out the window.

"Why don't you ask what disgraceful means Leo used on me?" Sophia also stood up, counter-questioning with equal intensity.

As she stood up, the red marks on her neck were exposed without any cover, causing Molly to widen her eyes, almost unable to stand steady.

Though others might not understand the actual situation with Leo, Molly was fully aware of it.

Despite being surrounded by beautiful women, Leo had never truly had deep contacts with them. This was the crucial reason Molly had steadfastly liked him over the years. But now, he had actually made contact with this uninvited lady.

Molly had originally thought that Leo was merely letting this lady stay in his room and would not have any deeper relationship.

Years of persistence resulted in such an outcome, making Molly couldn't help but cry: "Why, why isn't it me?"

Sophia watched her slowly kneel down, crying so miserably, so sincerely. Her anger from moments ago gradually dissipated.

Molly's feelings for Leo were genuine, not just based on a strong possessiveness as Sophia previously thought.

She troubled herself, was jealous, and irrationally slandered, all because she loved without receiving love in return.

"Alright, stop crying." Sophia actually began to console Molly, "If you love him, then fight for his heart. Making a fuss in front of me, or dealing with other uninvited women, is useless."

Sophia's gentle voice gradually reduced Molly's crying, and she numbly agreed with a "Hmm."

Sophia felt more and more that Molly wasn't bad by nature, just a child who hadn't gotten what she wanted.

This unexpectedly harmonious scene surprised Uncle Qian from the side, and the servants were also dumbfounded.

Sophia reached out her hand, touching Molly's head like comforting a child.

Molly suddenly jumped up, flusteredly saying: "You...you..."

Sophia awkwardly withdrew her hand, waiting for what she would say next.

"Don't pretend to be kind. I don't need your sympathy." Molly was somewhat embarrassed, yet also somewhat unwilling, "I...I will definitely take Leo back!"

Sophia crossed her arms, blinked, and replied: "Well...good luck!"

Molly picked up her purse, weakly muttered: "Such a pretense!" Then she bit her lip and left awkwardly.

The living room suddenly quieted down, and Uncle Qian approached again: "Miss Sophia, where is your luggage?"

Sophia counter-questioned: "Did you forget? When I came here yesterday, I didn't bring any luggage." She had thought that her chances of staying were almost zero, so why would she bring anything?

"This..." Uncle Qian was left speechless, prepared to step aside.

But Sophia didn't let him go: "So, I have to go back today and get it."

"This...can be arranged, as long as you can walk out of the manor's entrance!" Uncle Qian said meaningfully.

Ha...It seems Leo had anticipated that she wouldn't stay quiet, probably the guards outside have been replaced with more formidable ones.

Damn, Sophia cursed Leo in her mind.

What to do? She didn't know how her brother was doing, whether Doctor John had gone to treat him, if he was reliable or if he would end up making her brother's condition worse, Sophia was very worried.

After a while, Sophia saw Kyle coming in with countless shopping bags.

"Miss Sophia, these are the clothes and jewelry CEO Leo instructed me to buy for you. Do you want to take a look and see if you like them?" Kyle spoke somewhat obsequiously.

Clothes? Would Leo be that kind?

Skeptically, Sophia took out a piece of clothing from one of the shopping bags, and upon seeing the numbers on the tag, she couldn't help but gasp. Looking at the other shopping bags in Kyle's hands, each one was exquisite, some brands she couldn't even recognize.

"I don't want something so expensive, I can't afford it!" Sophia refused without even thinking.

Since it was said to each take what they need, Sophia thought it best to leave without owing Leo anything. The ten million already gave her enough headache, not to mention items worth tens, hundreds of thousands, or even millions each piling up.
