Chapter 49 – Freelancer

Clicking his tongue and moving his finger, David waved his finger in front of Tom's face as if teasing him, "Yup, you will understand it one day when you're an adult like me."

"What the hell." Tom laughed and shook his head in disbelief before focusing on cooking again, "You're too old now, Dad. Age is catching up on you."

David chuckled and nudged Tom's ribs playfully while continuing cutting some vegetables before glancing at Tina occasionally. "Hey, I'm still in my prime, kid."

The cooking finished and the girls set the table, placing plates and cups in front of each chair. In just a few minutes, breakfast was ready and they gathered around the dining table together as one big family.

It was an ordinary day for Tom and his family.
